Chen Yan and the others were dumbstruck as they watched Jing Yan approach.
They had previously encountered Jing Chengye and a group of people who had all exhibited their Innate Cultivation strength. Although they were also surprised, they had never imagined it; but, they thought with their families backing them, they were not overly frightened.
But now, seeing Jing Yan, a chill ran up from their feet.
Who was Jing Yan?
He was the powerful man who had annihilated the Wen Family, a colossal entity. Their families, no matter how strong, were incomparable to the Wen Family. Provoking Jing Yan ant, not just trouble for themselves as young juniors, but possible obliteration for their families, with the Wen Family serving as the pri example.
And the upper echelons of their respective families had reiterated a new family rule, which was never to provoke Jing Yan. Provoking Jing Yan was a grave offense!
At that mont, the faces of Chen Yan and his group had gone pale.
"Clan Leader, your journey must have been exhausting," Jing Yan greeted Jing Chengye with a smile.
"What kind of exhaustion is this?" Jing Chengye laughed heartily.
Jing Yan nodded.
Then, his gaze shifted and fell on Chen Yan and the others.
Chen Yan and his group all huddled together, wanting to flee but not daring to. So, they could only cower and hope that Jing Yan would simply ignore them. But as fate would have it, Jing Yan’s gaze landed directly on them.
Their knees weakened, and they all knelt down with a ’plop-plop’.
"Lord Jing Yan, we were wrong, we were wrong, please spare our lives!"
"Jing Yan, sir, we were blind and foolish, please do not stoop to our level."

Chen Yan and his group were quick to react, kneeling and kowtowing continuously until their foreheads bled, tearfully and snottily begging for forgiveness.
They knew that if Jing Yan decided to strike them dead with a slap, they wouldn’t even have a chance to beg for rcy.
Jing Yan frowned.
Truth be told, given his current realm, he was genuinely disdainful of entangling with these young ones. However, since they had insulted the Jing Family just a while ago and he had witnessed so of it, letting them off just like that would be an underestimation of the Jing Family, a slight to him, Jing Yan. The authority he had just established in Lanqu County couldn’t be challenged so casually.
To insult the Jing Family was to insult him, Jing Yan.
Seeing the actions of Chen Yan and the others, Jing Chengye and his group were sowhat taken aback. Although they weren’t very familiar with the backgrounds of these individuals, judging from their arrogant deanor earlier, the families behind them must be significant. Yet, to see them so terrified by Jing Yan?
Jing Chengye and his group were inwardly shocked as they observed Jing Yan.
Only Jing Qingzhu smiled slightly; she had seen firsthand that even the Prince was extrely polite and respectful in front of Jing Yan.
"All of you, stand up!" Jing Yan waved his hand, and a surge of Primordial Energy lifted Chen Yan and his group to their feet.
"Now go back to your families and have your Clan Leaders co to see !" Jing Yan waved his hand.
He disdained to take these young ones seriously. However, the matter couldn’t just be settled like this.
Chen Yan and the others trembled again upon hearing this and exchanged glances. Informing their Clan Leaders might peel their skin off, but they didn’t dare ignore Jing Yan’s command. Informing the Clan Leaders would at least not cost them their lives, but ignoring Jing Yan’s words could not only cost their lives but possibly bring disaster upon their families.
"Go! I’ll be waiting at the Wen Family Mansion for your respective Clan Leaders!" Jing Yan commanded in a low voice.
"Yes..." They quickly scattered, scrambling away.
"Clan Leader, I will now take you to see the Jing Family’s place in Lanqu County City!" Jing Yan said with a smile.
"A residence?" Jing Chengye was montarily taken aback.
Then he beca sowhat excited, his eyes twinkling, "Jing Yan, are you talking about the Wen Family Mansion?"
"It used to be the Wen Family Mansion, but from now on, it will be our Jing Family Mansion," Jing Yan said with a wave of his hand and a smile.
The Wen Family had beco history. In a single day, the millennium-old family had fallen!
The group hastened down the long street toward the forr location of the Wen Family Mansion.
"Jing Yan, the young Martial Artists we saw earlier, who are they exactly?" Jing Chengye, recalling Chen Yan and his group, couldn’t help but ask.
Jing Yan had commanded each of their families’ Clan Leaders to co to him. If the young Martial Artists really belonged to significant powers, would their Clan Leaders agree to et Jing Yan?
"I don’t know them, but the leader claid he was from the Chen Family. The Chen Family is a second-tier family in Lanqu County City, slightly weaker than the previous Wen Family," Jing Yan said offhandedly.
Jing Yan had dealt with the Chen Family when he first arrived in Lanqu County City.
"Second-tier families in Lanqu County City generally do not have Daoist Martial Artists. Typically, the strongest mbers in such families only reach the Peak of Dao Spirit Realm," Jing Qingzhu was more knowledgeable about these powers.
Hearing what Jing Yan and Jing Qingzhu said, Jing Chengye and the others experienced another wave of emotions.
Even a second-tier family in Lanqu County City was many tis stronger than the Jing Family. The strongest in the Jing Family was now Jing Tianying, the Donglin City Lord, who had just advanced to the Early Dao Spirit Realm.
So, when Jing Chengye learned that the Chen Family had mbers at the Peak of Dao Spirit Realm, his heart began to pound.
It wasn’t really Jing Chengye’s fault; after all, he only had Innate Peak Cultivation, and in a small city like Donglin, he seldom encountered Martial Artists at the Dao Spirit Realm. Deep-rooted perceptions were hard to change quickly.
But Jing Chengye also did not dare to inquire further because it was clear that Jing Yan simply did not care about those second-tier families.
The group soon arrived at the location of the Wen Family Mansion. After a fierce battle, many buildings in the Wen Family Mansion were damaged, but the damage was not severe and could be easily repaired.
The Wen Family Mansion was also guarded by the Prince Manor’s guards, preventing any outsiders from entering.
"We’ve arrived!" Jing Yan led Jing Chengye and the others to the front of the Wen Family Mansion, squinting his eyes and turning to say.
"This is the Wen Family Mansion?"
"What a grand mansion, much larger than our Jing Family Mansion."
"Of course, the Wen Family was one of the Four Great Families in Lanqu County City. The family mbers probably total over a hundred thousand, don’t they?"
The young descendants of the Jing Family were all amazed as they looked at the grand mansion in their sight, their emotions surging.
"From now on, this will be our Jing Family’s dwelling in Lanqu County City," Jing Yan glanced at the Jing Family mbers.
