The extensive information network of the Ancient Family began to operate, and its energy was truly fearso.
Moreover, the Ancient Family controlled Dark Night, an assassin organization that existed in every commandery throughout the continent, which made it much easier for them to gain information on Jing Yan.
The Ancient Family had confird that, in the coming days, Jing Yan would pass near East Lake County City, so they had gathered several dozen Dao King Realm elders to intercept.
These ten Dao King Realm Practitioners were one such group. The most powerful amongst them was a Peak Dao King Realm Strong Person. Besides one Peak Dao King, there were also two in the Late Stage. The remaining seven individuals were all at the Early and Middle Stages of Cultivation.
They concealed themselves in the woods, observing the skies around them. They had been waiting here for a lengthy seven days and nights!
"Look quickly, soone is flying over!"
Suddenly, a voice rang out.
Ten gazes instantly fixed in that direction.
As expected, they saw a cyan figure rapidly approaching.
A few breaths later.
"Jing Yan! It’s that kid! We’re in luck that he’s actually passing through the area we’re guarding!" the leading Ancient Family elder excitedly said upon recognizing the newcor’s appearance.
"Fourth Elder, shall we go in?" an elder’s gaze turned to the leading Fourth Elder.
"Hold on, don’t be hasty, let him get a bit closer. This ti, we must capture him and absolutely cannot let him escape," the Fourth Elder shook his head and said.
At this mont, Jing Yan was still over ten miles away from them. If they rashly moved in now, Jing Yan would surely turn and flee. To ensure a foolproof plan, they needed to wait a mont longer for Jing Yan to draw closer to the dense woods.
All ten people held their breath, staring unblinkingly at the cyan figure in the sky.
Five miles!
Three miles!
One mile!
"Hm?" Jing Yan abruptly halted.
"Sothing’s not right!" Jing Yan narrowed his eyes as he scanned his surroundings and then looked towards the dense forest in front of him.
Jing Yan sensed through his Divine Soul that danger seed to be drawing near.
"Could it be an ambush?" Jing Yan thought to himself.
"Not good, that kid seems to have discovered us!"
"Go! Capture him!" the Fourth Elder commanded in a hushed tone.
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!"
Ten figures soared into the sky, sprinting rapidly toward Jing Yan.
"So there really is an ambush!" Jing Yan, seeing the ten approaching figures, his eyes narrowed, and he smirked slightly. His gaze swept across each of them.
"There aren’t any Dao Emperor Realm Strong People, they should all be from the Dao King Realm!" Jing Yan reassured himself, feeling sowhat at ease since his Divine Soul was strong enough to sense the presence of any Dao Emperor Realm Practitioners in advance.
Having mastered the Third Level of the Sky Wings, Jing Yan’s speed was terrifying indeed; as long as there were no Dao Emperor Realm Practitioners, the likelihood of their catching up to him was slim. Therefore, he was in no hurry to flee.
"Ha ha, has this little beast been scared silly? He’s actually not running?" one of the Ancient Family elders laughed loudly.
For Dao King Realm Practitioners, a distance of one mile could be crossed in just a couple of breaths.
In that brief ti, the ten individuals reached Jing Yan’s vicinity.
"Jing Yan, you won’t be able to run away. I advise you to surrender quietly and co back with us! If you cooperate, you might still be able to live," the head Fourth Elder said, looking at Jing Yan.
Their orders were to capture Jing Yan alive; they were not to kill him directly. If Jing Yan willingly surrendered, it would naturally save them a great deal of effort.
"You Ancient Family are really going to great lengths to catch ! Want to go back with you? Ha ha, that’s laughable. Do you really think that’s possible?" Jing Yan said with a smile on his face.
"Fourth Elder, don’t waste words with this kid; let take him down. I’d like to see how many heads this brat has grown!" another elder jeered.
"Let’s do it! Rember, the Ancestor wants him alive!" the Fourth Elder instructed with a wave of his hand.
Two elders imdiately lunged at Jing Yan. The others spread out, seemingly afraid that Jing Yan would try to escape.
"Sshh sshh sshh!"
Jing Yan extended his arms, and one Array Plate after another appeared in his hands which, upon activation, he threw out.
These past couple of months, Jing Yan had refined quite a number of Interdiate Micro Arrays.
"Damn, it’s an Array!"
"Get out of the way!"
The Ancient Family elders panicked. Jing Yan had thrown out over a dozen Array Plates all at once, naturally resulting in their alarm.
"Bang bang bang!"
All Array Plates were activated, and rays of different colored Light Halos radiated outward. Almost imdiately, about half of the Ancient Family elders were enveloped by them.
These arrays were mostly Attack Formations, with a few being Trapping Arrays.
Dao King Realm Practitioners who were enveloped within would definitely not have an easy ti.
"Damn it, how can this kid have so many Array Plates?" The Ancient Family elder cursed loudly.
"Quickly capture this youngster, don’t let him get away!" the Fourth Elder kept shouting.
This Fourth Elder was a Peak Dao King Realm Practitioner, at the sa realm as Elder Yin. Jing Yan could sense that this person was the strongest, so most of the Array Plates he had thrown were directed at him.
With one or two Array Plates, he might have avoided them, but seven or eight Array Plates were thrown at him, and the Fourth Elder with his Peak Dao King Realm Cultivation was not easily spared, getting engulfed by their activation.
He swung the weapon in his hand, striking at the Formation barriers, only to find that he could not escape within a short period. Hence, he hastily called out to the other not yet trapped elders to capture Jing Yan.
Hearing the Fourth Elder’s roaring, the five elders not enveloped by the arrays simultaneously lunged at Jing Yan.
Since they were supposed to capture him alive, they held back with their moves, not daring to go all out.
"Sky Wings!" Jing Yan activated his movent technique.
A blue Sword Light gathered on the Dao Artifact Longsword in his hand.
"Holy Light Sword Technique!" Jing Yan targeted an Early Stage Dao King Realm Ancient Family elder and ferociously cleaved down.
The blue Sword Light kept accumulating, violently swallowing sword light between heaven and earth. The frightening killing intent spread, seizing people’s hearts.
"Ah..."
A scream erupted.
An Ancient Family elder with Early Stage Dao King Realm Cultivation fell then and there in resentnt.
Jing Yan’s move was lightning-fast, and although he was only at the Peak of the Daoist Master Realm, his Attack Power was capable of rivaling that of Late Stage Dao King Realm Practitioners. It would be too much for an Early Stage Dao King Realm Practitioner to withstand.
"One down!" Jing Yan’s figure flashed, and the Sky Wings were once again activated, in the blink of an eye, he was in front of the second Early Stage Dao King Realm Ancient Family elder.
This Ancient Family elder quickly retreated, sowhat dazed and unable to comprehend how one of their elders had suddenly been killed.
"Let’s attack together, this beast is extrely powerful. Forget capturing alive, attack with full force!" the Fourth Elder in the Formation frantically roared.
Though their orders were to take him alive, it now seed too difficult to capture Jing Yan alive. If they did not go all out, even if they succeeded in capturing him alive, they might lose a few of their own, and that would be a great loss.
"Thud!"
The second Early Stage Dao King Realm elder died on the spot, his body falling from the sky.
