Jing Yan remained standing outside the room’s door, not pushing it open.
He raised his hand again and knocked several tis on the door.
"Who’s there? Co in!" The pleasant voice had a hint of anger mixed in.
Jing Yan shook his head, her temper really hadn’t changed much. With that thought, the corners of his mouth lifted slightly, revealing a smile that ca from the heart.
Just as Jing Yan was about to knock a third ti, the door was abruptly pulled open, revealing a beautiful face with knitted brows.
The person inside the room was none other than Gao Feng!

Gao Feng said no more. She was not the type to pry too deeply into matters.

Jing Yan knew that the Six Great Families had covertly supported the Gai Family during the recent great war. If the Six Great Families had nothing to say for themselves, Jing Yan wouldn’t mind paying a visit to their territories. Anyway, he wouldn’t act as if nothing had happened.
Now, the Six Great Families had already rushed to Holy City and were pleading for Saint Master Shen Chong to intercede on their behalf.

How Shen Chong would deal with the Six Great Families was no longer Jing Yan’s concern. After all, Shen Chong was the Saint Master of the continent. If he did not know to take the opportunity to control the Six Great Families, that would be quite foolish.

Jing Yan and Gao Feng exchanged a smile and waited outside for Liu Daquan.
Soon after, hurried footsteps could be heard from inside; soone was clearly running fast.
Every year, Liu Daquan would send so resources to Donglin City to the Jing Family, as Black Wind Town had many properties belonging to Jing Yan. Liu Daquan had always kept his promise and had never embezzled resources ant for Jing Yan. He had been reliable for decades.
"Lord Jing Yan?" Liu Daquan, panting, rushed out and called eagerly upon seeing Jing Yan.
Jing Yan looked at Liu Daquan.
Compared to the past, Liu Daquan looked much older now.
Liu Daquan was just an ordinary Postnatal Martial Artist with a lifespan of a hundred years or so, and he was already around seventy.

There were not many people in Black Wind Town who had interacted with Jing Yan back then, and the Black Widow was one of them. Jing Yan also rembered that before Liu Daquan beca the Town Mayor of Black Wind Town, he had been in trouble, but the Black Widow had stood by his side.
