Upon hearing Cao Lin’s voice, Bian Jin raised his eyes to look.
Cao Lin shook his head at Bian Jin.
This battle, continuing it any longer would be aningless. ng He is a Six-star Void God and also possesses a Divine Skill; Bian Jin could not possibly defeat ng He.
Bian Jin sighed helplessly, sheathed the long knife in his hand, and returned to the crowd of the Qingmu Departnt.
"Let’s disperse!" Cao Lin waved his arm and said.
The disciples from the Water Moon Departnt ca to block the gate in challenge; as the Chief, Cao Lin shouldn’t intervene, as their statuses are different. But Cao Lin had no choice but to step in when even Qingmu Departnt’s strongest, Bian Jin, was defeated. Originally, Cao Lin held so hope for Bian Jin. But now, that last hope was shattered.
Cao Lin hadn’t dismissed the possibility of Jing Yan, but while Jing Yan’s strength is indeed formidable, being at the Five-star Void God level, how could he compare to ng He, who has already entered the Six-star Void God level?
Sending Jing Yan to fight would only be self-humiliating.
"Chief Cao Lin, are you saying... the Qingmu Departnt admits defeat, right?" ng He turned his eyes, smiled at Cao Lin, and said.
Instantly, anger surfaced on Cao Lin’s face.
Nurous mbers of the Qingmu Departnt glared in rage.
ng He and his group were simply too domineering.
"This matter isn’t over. Jing Yan, the matter between us isn’t settled. After Senior Brother ng He’s match is over, it’s now our turn for a duel," Jin Guang chid in, his eyes fixed squarely on Jing Yan.
He would not rest until he fought Jing Yan.
"Jing Yan, didn’t you just say sothing yourself? Would you forget so soon? If you don’t fight, it’s not impossible; just admit in front of everyone that you aren’t as good as , Jin Guang," Jin Guang continued to provoke.
"Clowns, truly ridiculous!" Jing Yan sneered lightly.
"What did you say?" Jin Guang’s breath froze.
"I said, you all are just a bunch of clowns," this ti, Jing Yan’s voice grew louder, echoing throughout the space around.
Everyone’s expressions drastically changed.
Jing Yan’s words were not rely aid at Jin Guang alone, but at the entire Second Palace Water Moon Departnt; he said ’you all,’ clearly not referring to just Jin Guang.
"Young and ignorant, truly not knowing the heights of the heavens. You think being a mber of the Qingmu Departnt shields you from our wrath?" ng He’s cold voice echoed.
"Bring harm?" Jing Yan laughed.
Laughing, he stepped forward.
"Hahaha... So this is Jing Yan?" At this mont, a voice of laughter rang out.
As they looked toward the source of the voice, an old man in white appeared before everyone’s eyes. The Chief of the Second Palace Water Moon Departnt, Guan Zhuo!
Guan Zhuo had actually arrived here.
"Indeed sowhat extraordinary! An average martial artist wouldn’t have such a bold tone. Hmm, geniuses always have so personality!" Guan Zhuo continued.
"Chief Guan Zhuo!" Cao Lin made a slight bow toward him.
"Haha, Chief Cao Lin!" Guan Zhuo also returned the courtesy and continued, "Chief Cao Lin, it’s just a friendly martial contest between disciples from both departnts. Why did you personally co out to stop it?"
Anyone could hear the sarcasm in Guan Zhuo’s tone.
Cao Lin’s face flushed slightly, as Guan Zhuo’s words were indeed difficult to refute. Firstly, the Water Moon Departnt people didn’t forcefully attack the Qingmu Departnt mbers. Even when there was a fight, it was voluntary from both sides. Secondly, so far, although so mbers of the Qingmu Departnt were injured, none had lost their lives.
Because of this, Cao Lin truly didn’t have a good coback to Guan Zhuo’s words.
"Chief Guan Zhuo has co as well?" Jing Yan said with a smile.
"Hmm?" Guan Zhuo’s eyes slightly narrowed as they swept over Jing Yan, cold and piercing.
However, Jing Yan didn’t care. Guan Zhuo was naturally powerful, and Jing Yan knew he was no match for him, but in this situation, Guan Zhuo, the Chief, clearly wouldn’t make a move against mbers of the Qingmu Departnt.
"I did co, but I have no intention of interfering in the disciples’ sparring. I’m just passing by to see the show," Guan Zhuo laughed again.
"Since Chief Guan Zhuo can co to watch the show, why couldn’t Chief Cao Lin?" Isn’t it much more convenient for Chief Cao Lin to watch this spectacle happening outside the Qingmu Departnt?" Jing Yan smiled and squinted his eyes slightly.
Guan Zhuo instantly felt a tightness in his chest, took a deep breath fiercely.
"Chief Cao Lin, it seems I misunderstood you. From Jing Yan’s words, you’re not stopping the disciples from sparring," Guan Zhuo was scheming and seized the opportunity from Jing Yan’s words, directly blocking Cao Lin’s attempt to stop the duel between both departnts’ disciples.
Cao Lin frowned and glanced at Jing Yan.
"Jing Yan..." Cao Lin was unsure of Jing Yan’s intentions.
"Chief Cao Lin, if the disciples from the Water Moon Departnt are so eager to spar with ours from the Qingmu Departnt, then we’ll oblige," Jing Yan smiled at Cao Lin.
Cao Lin smiled bitterly.
Oblige? How to oblige? Bian Jin was already defeated; continuing would only bring more sorrow.
"Damn, those old guys actually ca too!" Cao Lin’s gaze shifted to see more people joining the outskirts. These people were clearly the Chiefs from various departnts.
Many Chiefs had arrived, dozens in all. These old fellows were clearly here to watch the spectacle.
"Chief Cao Lin, don’t worry. Let play a little with these Water Moon Departnt clowns," Jing Yan continued to step forward.
Across from him, when Jin Guang saw Jing Yan step out, he cracked a sinister smile, then quickly joined.
"Jin Guang, are you confident?" Guan Zhuo asked Jin Guang in a low voice.
Jing Yan’s reputation was indeed significant. Defeating Kuo Shen with three swords during the selection assessnt had Guan Zhuo worried that Jin Guang might not be able to defeat Jing Yan. With so many watching, especially the Chiefs, Guan Zhuo didn’t want the Water Moon Departnt to lose any match.
"I will trample this kid!" Jin Guang was quite confident.
Proud people always have a blind confidence in themselves. Even though Jing Yan defeated Kuo Shen with three swords, Jin Guang did not believe Jing Yan could compare to him.
"Jin Guang, you’re far from enough!" Jing Yan shook his head, "I don’t have ti to play with you one by one. How about this, you three co at together."
Jing Yan pointed at Jin Guang and then towards the two behind him, including ng He.
"Hmm?"
"What?"
"Has this Jing Yan gone mad?"
"He’s actually challenging three people at once?"
When Jing Yan uttered these words, it naturally caused a wave of shock. Many felt Jing Yan was too arrogant. ng He had just demonstrated, and it was evident to all. That was indeed a genuine Six-star Void God realm!
What basis did Jing Yan have to challenge three people, including Six-star Void God ng He?
Cao Lin was also shocked, staring wide-eyed at Jing Yan.
