Chapter 185: Chapter 185: A Short Training Session – 1
It took Damian a few seconds to fully comprehend everything in the report on Earth submitted to him by his four High Human ministers and even plan out several ideas in his mind.
“Hm.” Damian looked at Amaya Kuroyami. “Amaya, Lucian Holloway is your servant, right?”
“Yes, my lord… I was the one who turned him into a plebeian vampire,” Amaya replied, nodding her head.
“Summon him,” the Vampire King ordered.
After several minutes, Sir Lucian Holloway, a 900-year-old plebeian vampire, appeared in front of the newly ascended Vampire Progenitor, looking at him with absolute shock and fear.
“What’s your professional opinion about now? How do you rate my growth?” the Vampire King smiled.
Sir Holloway simply looked at his king’s face with the sa bewildered expression, because the vampire sitting on the throne didn’t seem like a being of flesh and blood anymore.
He radiated insane power, as if he was made of energy itself.
Seated on the throne with three extrely powerful beings standing behind him, Damian was sothing else.
Lucian knew, however crazy it sounded, however hard it was to comprehend, it was the truth:
Damian was both the progenitor of humans and vampires.
After watching Damian break rule after rule, Lucian realized that when it cos to him, common sense doesn’t apply.
The rules that bind others don’t bind him.
He simply isn’t soone who can be asured by normal standards.
“There are… there are no words…” Lucian said.
“Hehe. Relax… you’re useful to . I want you to be a part of my inner circle within my kingdom. What do you say?” Damian asked.
He didn’t use his aura, nor his authority as the Vampire Progenitor.
He didn’t use the power of his blessings either.
He didn’t want to force Lucian.
He just wanted to know what Lucian wanted.
“It would be my honor to serve you, my lord,” Lucian Holloway bowed in respect.
“Good choice,” Damian nodded in satisfaction. “Considering the trouble you’ve been through, it’s only appropriate that you’re rewarded, don’t you think?”
“R-Reward?”
“Yes. I can’t have weak plebeian vampires working in my personal forces now, can I?” Damian said as he raised his palm.
In the next instant, a single drop of his manifested blood floated an inch above his palm, shining like a red pearl with golden spots quivering on its surface.
As soon as the drop of blood appeared, an intense aroma and presence spread like wildfire through the entire castle.
All the vampires subconsciously gulped, as if they had just slled a heavenly delicacy.
Even Alia felt the sa, even though she had attained godhood, she was still a noble vampire.
She couldn’t help but lick her lips.
Even though she drank her husband’s blood all the ti, it always felt new and more delicious every ti.
Vampires sustain themselves on blood, and there are different types of blood out there, each with different tastes and varying effects.
The rarer the blood, the more delicious and potent it becos.
“High Human or Noble Vampire, decide what do you want to beco?” Damian asked.
“I… This…” Lucian Holloway stuttered in shock for a few seconds, fully comprehending the question. Once he did, there were no words.
But he knew he had to make a choice now: to beco a High Human or a Noble Vampire.
Becoming a High Human ant he would no longer be restricted to just surviving on blood.
He could walk in the sunlight, and he would awaken so kind of ability or talent that would greatly enhance his potential as an Awakener.
The greatest thing about the human race was their resilience and adaptability.
That’s how they had survived all these years, by adapting.
Whatever problems ca their way, they would always find a solution.
They were creative, inventive, and adaptive.
Until now, this only applied to their minds and problem-solving.
But as [Superior Humans] and [High Humans], their bodies evolved to adapt to any conditions.
All [Superior Humans] and [High Humans] had a talent similar to the [Limitless Refinent] talent that Damian possessed.
It granted them the ability to adapt to all forms and conditions through repeated contact.
Of course, their adaptability was astronomically weaker than Damian’s, but still far superior to other races.
Also, becoming a [High Human] ant he would gain the ability to create [Superior Humans].
On the other hand, becoming a Noble Vampire ant pseudo-immortality.
He could live forever unless his brain was destroyed.
As long as his brain was intact, he could regenerate in re seconds.
Plus, since the Vampire Progenitor himself would be turning him, Lucian would belong to the Progenitor’s direct sireline, sothing considered a privilege even among noble vampires.
He would also awaken a new bloodline ability or potentially inherit one directly from Damian himself.
High Human or Noble Vampire…
There was no wrong choice here.
Damian didn’t influence him either way.
He simply let him think for a few minutes.
“I have decided, my lord,” Lucian Holloway said, standing tall.
“What’s it going to be, then?”
“Noble Vampire… I want to be a Noble Vampire.”
The Vampire Progenitor grinned and said, “Then accept my blood and beco a Noble Vampire.”
The drop of blood hovering over Damian’s palm shot toward Lucian and landed in his mouth.
In the next instant, Lucian’s eyes widened as a sharp pain, followed by a warm sensation, spread across his body.
He felt a strange sensation in his chest.
When he looked down to investigate, he saw a huge burnt hole where his heart used to be, with dark smoke rising from it, as if a cannonball had blasted through.
He raised his head, his entire body shaking, and looked at his king, who had his finger pointed at him.
He managed to see the fla that struck his chest surrounding the king’s hand before his vision blurred and he collapsed, dead on the spot.
For ten long seconds, his body lay lifeless on the ground as the king’s court watched with curiosity.
Then, the hole in his chest began to regenerate.
Within seconds, a new heart ford, and the hole closed up completely.
His skin turned paler, his brown hair grew longer and thicker, and he grew taller.
His muscles beca more refined.
Finally, he opened his eyes, now glowing blood-red.
Lucian stood up, confused.
His entire body felt like it was burning, but it wasn’t uncomfortable.
All his senses were heightened to extre levels.
He could hear everything, sll everything, see everything, amplified.
Disoriented and overwheld, he looked around in panic.
But when his vision landed on the man seated on the throne, it was as if he instantly regained all the control he had lost.
As if he suddenly knew how to control his newfound power.
He stood straight and looked at his Progenitor.
“How do you feel, Lucian?” the Vampire King asked.
“I… I feel powerful, my sire,” Lucian replied.
The five Countesses looked at the first Noble Vampire created by the Vampire Progenitor, the first of his direct sireline, with bewildered expressions.
They could sense it.
He was a pure, complete Noble Vampire of great potential, perhaps even more than them.
“Interesting,” Damian muttered with a small smile as he used his senses to analyze Lucian Holloway and found sothing curious.
Damian stood up and appeared in front of the newly transford Noble Vampire.
His eyes glowed with intense red light.
One of the unique abilities of the Vampire Progenitor was [Soul Manipulation], the ability to analyze, read, or even edit the soul of any being.
Damian used this ability to examine both Lucian’s physical body and soul.
He also did the sa with the five Vampire Countesses, and his expression beca more excited.
“Very curious indeed,” the Vampire Progenitor muttered.
It seed the Noble Vampires of Damian’s sireline had more potential, and initially possessed higher base physical strength and durability than all Noble Vampires of past generations.
All the vampires created by Damian’s sireline would also possess more charm, slightly enhanced senses, greater potential, and stronger bloodline abilities.
In general, the Noble Vampires of Damian’s sireline were of higher quality than those of the past.
And Damian could also see sothing else, an enhanced adaptability similar to High Humans, mixed into Lucian Holloway’s Noble Vampire essence.
“Fascinating… Is this because of the presence of all the energies I hold in my body? Or is it because I am also the Progenitor of both humans and vampires?” Damian muttered.
“It’s possible both are the case, darling… Even if you are currently embodying the Vampire Progenitor, you’re still the Human Progenitor at your core. That’s got to influence your other abilities,” Lenora said, rubbing her chin.
“Even if that’s true, it should only influence your own abilities, but it’s also affecting the beings you create,” Avaline said, shaking her head.
“I an, it’s not impossible… Darling is the Progenitor of both humans and vampires. It’s possible that the two aspects of his nature are influencing each other, strengthening each other with their own essences. And by default, the beings he creates also inherit those influences,” Alia added.
Damian closed his eyes and studied the essence of the Vampire and Human Progenitor within him.
His soul was so vast that he found those essences deep inside, resting beside five others.
There was his Human Progenitor Essence, Vampire Progenitor Essence, High Demon Essence, High Fallen Angel Essence, and other, two more obscure essences that he couldn’t access no matter how much he tried.
It seed he could only access those once he reunited with his family.
He could see all those essences in the sa place, and he saw the Human Progenitor Essence and Vampire Progenitor Essence interacting with each other, while the other essences remained still.
Then, suddenly, Damian’s mind went deeper, and he entered his own inner world.
Opening his eyes, he found himself standing in the middle of an endless red sea, its waters reaching up to his knees, under an infinite, dark sky.
He looked down at the red sea and, within it, found millions of souls frozen beneath the surface, trapped and unable to move.
Damian ignored them and turned his gaze elsewhere, toward six weapons made of different colored lights, floating in the air.
These weapons represented his connection to the six spiritual weapons he possessed:
[Recna, The Spear of Tornt], [Darmung, The Devastation Bringer], [rcy, The Sword of Salvation], [Judgent, The Sword of Punishnt], [Dagger of Nuada], and [Balmung, The Sword of Doom].
A little farther away from him, there was a globe of red light glowing intensely, swirling and darting around in random directions like a mindless bird inside his inner world.
