And apparently, Kuzunoha wasn’t an earthling. She is a god-touched from Diana.
Anyway, ti had flown fast, and it was ti for us to leave, so we waved Kuzunoha:
"Benjamin Mark, I love you!"
"I love you too!"
"Co visit again, okay?!"
Haha, she sure was child-like at tis like thes—
"Also... I enjoyed your FAKE love story, but please consider marrying Sakura-chan for real, okay?!"
Ack! Sh-She knew?!
Of course, she did; she read my mind as I reveled in my talent for deceiving people. So embarrassing.
***
We walked away from the chambers and out of the area.
Where I noticed Sakura’s gloomy expression: Then I rembered that she hadn’t even said anything for a while now, besides the soft goodbye to her mother.
"Hey, Sakura, are you alright?" I asked her.
"Benjamin... I have sothing to tell you..." She whispered, then pulled as the environnt changed.
She had teleported us to a different place; it was a high location with a brilliant view of the entire district where we just left.
And quite beautiful too. I have to hand it to Shishi-no-su; it can be easily picturesque whenever you take a good look at it.
Ah, but it was already dark now, and the moon was lighting everything up, amplifying the mystique.
Sakura then urged to sit on this dragon-designed seat carved from stone.
She was being so serious as she watched the panoramic view, and the gentle night winds fluttering her hair.
Then she turned to . "Suki desu, Benjamin."
Huh?
For so weird reason I didn’t quite catch that. Was it another magic trick of hers, I wonder? But it isn’t above Sakura to tease like that.
"Uhm, was that... Japanese? A Shishi-no-su dialect?" I wondered aloud, my finger on my chin.
What was that again? I did get so Japanese classes for my visa and all, but my work rarely took to Asia at all...
Ah!! The aning then hit suddenly...
Suki was sothing I asked a Japanese co-worker in town so ti ago:
"Huh? What’s this suki thing she keeps saying?" I had asked him as I stared at a TV comrcial.
"Oh, that? Well, suki ans..."
Yikes, saying sothing like that out of the blue is really embarrassing, Sakura!
I looked at her serious expression, and suddenly I couldn’t stop blushing, which made her own stoic face begin to go cherry too.
"Well, it’s not like I don’t love you or anything," I scratched my head sheepishly, and glanced away. But then I sneaked a look at her expecting face. "Okay, I love you too, I guess."
Then she hugged so suddenly. "S-Sakura?!"
"Then... Then!" She was trembling so much, as her amber eyes t mine, with tears dropping out like she lost a loved one. "In that case, please, don’t leave ! Don’t go away, I love you so very much! A... And you love too, yes? I... We can have our happiness here, Benjamin. Please... I beg you, I’ll be incomplete without you in my life at this point..."
Her voice had begun to crack at the end.
And honestly, seeing Sakura tear up and sob so much hurt more than I thought, and as I tried to pull my hand away from her, more tears flowed and she refused to let go.
Since when was this developnt?
I was ignorant, thinking the shrewd and sharp-witted queen didn’t have much of an emotion. Since feelings got in the way of logical calculations, which she lived by.
But knowing this now, I wanted to soothe her sorrow so bad... so I decided to agree.
I an, Sakura was a nice girl, and Shishi-no-su was a wonderful place as well. I had Ren and Usagi, and the fox sisters too... They love here, and I also love them.
But...
As I was about to say yes, that I’d be with Sakura for the rest of my life, "But I’m still your first. Always," rang in my mind.
Sara. Elara. The Amazons.
I’m truly a jerk, aren’t I?
I can’t believe I nearly forgot... I can’t believe I forgot about my ho, and my... family waiting for there.
"Sakura... please, listen to ," I glanced at her eyes with mine, seriously.
I... only hope what I’m about to tell her won’t make her hate .
