Seeing her expression, Feng Tianlan could not suppress a chuckle. “He is free to fall in love with anyone he likes.”

“Indeed, I am free to fall in love with anyone in the world. That’s why you should stop meddling.” Si Mobai stole a glance at Feng Tianlan and saw the pink spreading across her smiling cheeks. His lips lifted into an unwitting smile. Could Lan’er get any cuter, with her face flushing so pretty a pink?

Feng Tianlan pursed her lips and rested her eyes on the back of Si Mobai’s head. She shot him a fierce glare, only to be distracted by his smooth black hair. It was almost like silk. She was reminded of their first encounter when he’d suddenly landed in front of her. His hair had also brushed her face back then, tinged with its slight whiff of mint.

Lin Suyin found herself always checking in on Feng Tianlan’s team so that she could catch Si Mobai’s smile once again. Warning bells went off in her brain. She could no longer squash the worry overwhelming her heart.

Si Mobai noticed Lin Suyin’s gaze almost immediately. While the Wargod had eyes that were as beautiful as peach flowers, they could turn icy in an instant. He shot invisible frozen daggers at Lin Suyin as a warning. After making sure that Lin Suyin got his point, he looked away with a frosty expression and fixed his gaze to the front.

Lin Suyin shivered. Si Mobai’s gaze was well below the freezing point. Not only did it chill her from head to toe, but it also shattered her hopes without any mercy. He was being heartless toward her, devoid of any kindness. He never allowed even an ounce of emotion to slip.

Who was that woman? She truly wished to know. What kind of charm did she possess to make a man colder than Mount Everest surrender a smile?

“I heard that the Wargod has brought a woman to his manor?” Lin Suyin finally succumbed to curiosity and asked. She had heard the rumor some time ago but had been content with deceiving herself. Secondly, another woman has already moved into his manor…” The speaker quickly realized her Freudian slip and promptly made up for it, “We can’t say for sure who that woman is. “Sister Lin.” Her actions bewildered the bystanders. Some even thought that there was something wrong with her head. Why would she keep speaking up for Feng Tianlan? If anything, she should be considered her love rival.

When Si Mobai saw Lin Suyin walking toward Feng Tianlan, he moved closer while still keeping a three-step distance between him and Lin Suyin. The positioning was impeccably clever.
