Scarlett’s POV

"Let go," I hissed, my voice vibrating with rage. "You have no idea what you’re doing."

The Alpha with the long scar across his cheek laughed, a loud, irritating sound. "We know exactly what we’re doing. We’re taking what Leo left behind. You aren’t leaving this room until each of us has had our turn, and believe , sweetheart, we plan on being very satisfied."

I didn’t hesitate. "Help! Soone help!" I scread, my lungs burning, but the second Alpha—the taller, broader one—moved forward. He caught by the waist and pulled off the floor, slamming my back against his solid chest.

"Scream all you want," he growled into my ear. "No one is coming. Alpha Leo is already in the clouds in his private jet by now. As for the staff and the guests? We’ve cleared this entire floor. No one hears a thing on this wing."

His hand moved, gripping my jaw tightly. "Now, you can either cooperate and open that sweet-slling pussy of yours—because God, we can still sll the intoxicating scent of it—or we can do this the hard way. Either way, we’re both getting inside you."

My heart hamred against my ribs. I was a trained fighter, but these were Alphas—true warriors—and there were two of them. I was trapped, outnumbered, and the scent of their predatory lust was making my stomach churn. But I wouldn’t let them see my fear.

"This is your last warning," I spat, staring into the scarred Alpha’s eyes. "Let go, or you won’t live to regret it."

He didn’t listen. With a snarl, he rushed , shoving down onto the bed. The taller Alpha pinned my wrists above my head, his weight crushing into the mattress, while the scarred one began to fumble with his belt.

"Let’s see if you’re as loud for us as you were for him," the scarred one leered.

He finished unzipping, and his thick, dark cock sprang free, turgid and angry. I watched him reach for my thighs, and a cold, sharp panic rushed through my veins. This was it. I couldn’t hold her back anymore.

My wolf, who had been pacing the cage of my mind, screaming for release, finally broke through. In my desperation and panic, I didn’t just shift—I exploded.

It was a mistake to shift while pinned, but the force of the transformation was violent. As my bones snapped and reford, the claws of my front paws tore through the flesh of the Alpha holding my hands. He scread, a high-pitched sound of pain, as his skin was peeled back like parchnt, exposing his bones.

I didn’t wait. As a massive, powerful wolf, I pounced on him before he could even think to shift. I slamd my weight into him, throwing him across the room. He hit the wall with a loud crack of bone and slumped to the floor, motionless.

I turned my head, my golden-red eyes locking onto the scarred Alpha. His jaw dropped, his face turning pale as he stared at my fur.

"You... you’re a Red Wolf," he whispered, his voice trembling.

I didn’t give him the chance to finish the thought. I moved. I didn’t kill him—not yet—but I sank my teeth into his thigh, feeling the bone snap under the pressure of my jaws. I tossed him aside like a ragdoll, and he hit the floor with a heavy thud, sliding into the corner, motionless.

My breath ca in fast, animalistic pants. I stood over them for a second, the blood of an Alpha dripping from my muzzle. Then, I turned and bolted.

I ran out of the room, my paws silent on the carpet. I didn’t stop to look back. I burst through the lobby, expecting screams, expecting warriors to pull out weapons and attack . I ran right past the concierge, right through the main doors into the night air, where crowds of people were still moving about.

I slowed down, my fur bristling as I waited for the panic to start. But nothing happened.

I stood in the middle of the square, my fur ssy with the blood of those two Alphas. I was breathing hard, and my chest felt tight with fear. All around , the arena was full of life.

Hundreds of people were laughing and dancing. I stood right in the way of a group of people, waiting for them to see and scream. But they just kept walking. A woman in a pretty dress laughed at a joke, and her scarf brushed right against my ear as she walked through the spot where I was standing.

She didn’t jump. She didn’t scream "Wolf!" She didn’t even feel the heat coming off my body.

Confused, I trotted past a group of people, and they didn’t even flinch. I ran directly toward two pack warriors standing guard near the entrance, and they walked right past , their eyes fixed on the horizon as if I were a ghost.

"Ethan, I called out through the mind link, my ntal voice screaming with panic. "Ethan, I need help. Now!"

"Scar? What’s happening? Where are you?" His voice was sharp with alarm.

"I think I killed them... two Alphas. They tried to force themselves on , Ethan, and my wolf took over. I lost control. I have to leave this place!"

"Calm down. Where are you right now?"

"I’m in the street. I’m in my wolf form, right in the middle of the road," I replied, dodging a car that didn’t even slow down for . "Ethan, sothing is wrong. Sothing is really wrong."

"What is it?" he asked, sounding worried.

"I’m invisible," I whispered into the link, my heart sinking into my paws. "No one is looking at . No one can see at all."

"What are you saying, Scar?" Ethan asked, sounding disbelieving.

"Ethan, I’m telling you, I’m invisible!" I snapped, the words echoing through the ntal connection.

I froze mid-run, my paws skidding on the pavent. A sudden realization hit harder than the adrenaline. Ethan and I weren’t from the sa pack. We weren’t blood-related. For years, we had only ever spoken over the phone because a mind link between us should have been impossible.

"Scar? Wait... did you just mind link ?" Ethan’s voice crackled in my head, sounding completely shocked. "How is this happening? We aren’t pack. I shouldn’t be able to hear your thoughts."

"I don’t know!" I scread back ntally. "I just panicked and reached out, and you were there!"

"This shouldn’t be possible," he muttered, his voice full of disbelief.

I didn’t have ti to process the mystery of our connection. I tried to snap my jaws at a man walking toward , but my head went right through him like he was made of smoke. He didn’t even notice. He didn’t even feel the air move.
