Having a hands-off advisor is really sothing.
She raised her eyes and glanced around, then said, "New dia Institute Class Seven, all girls gather on my left!"
Last night, she was temporarily appointed as the class leader, so the girls in her class naturally knew. Quickly, one by one, they ca to their senses and lined up on her left side.
Mia Ginger let out a sigh of relief. Seeing that the instructors nearby still had no intention of taking over, she looked at the roster, and with a little hesitation, said, "New dia Institute Class Eight, all girls whose nas are called, gather on my right."
"Attention, attention, New dia Institute Class Eight, those whose nas are called, co over to gather."
A scattered group of girls clustered around, watching her.
"Zova Rodriguez!"
No response.
"Is Zova here? Z, as in ’earnest,’ ova, as in ’elegant,’ Zova Rodriguez!"
"That’s , that’s ." A petite girl fastened her belt and hurriedly raised her hand, stepping forward.
"Isabella Johnson!"
"Here." A tall girl responded loudly.
"Wendy Lee!"
"Wendy Lee, L as in ’wood’, Lee, as in ’culture!’"
"Here!" Another girl raised her hand and ran over.
"Lola Foster!"
"Viola Sutton!"
"..."
Quickly, the dozen or so girls from Class Eight gathered on her right side.
Mia Ginger felt her throat was getting hoarse, and glancing at the four remaining instructors, she couldn’t tell which was responsible for their group. She could only turn her head back to everyone in front, continuing to give orders: "The shorter ones stand in front, the taller ones move to the back, everyone line up from shortest to tallest in four rows, quickly."
Her voice was crisp and resonant. Dressed in full camouflage, she was entirely charming with a touch of heroic grace, very neat and pleasing to the eye.
The girls instinctively obeyed.
Quickly forming lines.
Mia Ginger raised her eyes to take a careful look, counted the numbers, jumped off the steps, stood at the left side of the team, and waited for the instructors.
Finally, there was so reaction.
Among the three instructors who were still watching, the one in the middle strode slowly over.
He stopped just a step away from Mia Ginger, raised his chin, "Is everyone here?"
"Reporting, one person’s absent." Mia Ginger replied seriously.
"Oh?"
"Class Seven, Windsor Myres, is absent." Mia Ginger reported factually, helplessly.
"What’s the situation?" The tall and upright instructor’s voice was calm, his expression serious, showing no emotion.
"Report, she’s asleep in the dormitory."
"Pfft!" The entire platoon of girls nearby burst into laughter.
Mia Ginger lowered her eyes and pursed her lips.
The instructor was clearly surprised too. Coming to his senses, his face darkened a little, he looked at her steadily, "What’s your na?"
"Mia Ginger." Mia Ginger looked straight ahead, her voice clear, "Ginger as in the spice, Ginger as in ’Youth and Greenery.’"
"Youth and Greenery?" The instructor seed to toy with her na for a mont, then stepped back, slowly pacing around the assembled crowd, saying as he walked, "Military training lasts for twenty-eight days, rain or shine. Without a signed leave from the advisor, everyone must not be late or leave early, otherwise, the training grade will be deed unsatisfactory, affecting credits. Do you all understand?"
"Understood!" Everyone responded in unison.
"Too quiet, I didn’t hear it."
"Understood!" The thirty-nine girls shouted loud enough to hurt ears.
"Still too quiet, shout it three more tis!"
"Understood, understood, understood!" Soone was practically collapsing.
"Very good." The stern-faced instructor was finally satisfied, turning to Mia Ginger, said, "You, go upstairs and bring down that sleeper."
