"No." Alia Miller avoided her gaze and clenched one hand at her side.

"Very well." Mia Ginger stood up, "I don’t like forcing people, and I have little patience. If one day you think you rembered wrong, or suddenly want to tell , you can co find again."

Alia Miller kept her head down and didn’t say a word.

Mia Ginger walked past her, which made the sweat on Alia’s forehead heavier.

The feeling was eerie.

The younger daughter, who unexpectedly returned ho, liked wearing flat shoes. Despite being slender, in flat shoes she walked silently, as elusive as a cat.

When Mia Ginger returned to her room, she passed by Koa Jackson’s room.

Aunt Lee was inside tidying up, wearing slippers.

Mia Ginger glanced at the shoes left at the door and naturally did not enter.

"Miss Ginger?" Aunt Lee turned her head and saw her, smiling, "Did you enjoy dinner?"

"Yes, very tasty, thank you." Mia Ginger smiled and nodded.

"Not at all," Aunt Lee paused her task and looked at her, "You’re so slim, you should eat more. Young girls are better with a bit of weight, don’t always think about dieting or losing weight."

"Mm." Mia Ginger nodded again.

Aunt Lee looked at her, thinking she talked even less than Koa Jackson, and couldn’t help feeling a bit sad, wondering how the two would get along in the future.

Seeing she hadn’t left, Aunt Lee warmly suggested, "Koa likes cleanliness, I’ve got so free ti, so I’m tidying up again. Do you want to co in and take a look?"

"Can I?" Mia Ginger was sowhat curious.

"Why not?" Aunt Lee invited her inside, "This is the master bedroom, you two will live here sooner or later."

Mia Ginger’s face flushed slightly, her chin lowered, and she said nothing.

She looked very obedient.

Aunt Lee inevitably grew more fond and encouraged her to take a look around freely.

The master bedroom was large, with a hall connected to the bedroom, two walk-in closets, and a spacious bathroom, with a study to the north. Outside the study was a balcony, which led down to a courtyard garden.

In the garden, lush bamboo stood tall and straight, bathed in the golden glow of the sunset.

Mia Ginger lingered a little longer in the study.

The brown solid wood bookshelf was lined with professional books, mostly dical, predominantly foreign originals, whose titles she mostly couldn’t na.

There were also so other books, very miscellaneous, but beautifully bound.

She hesitated for a while but did not browse through them.

There were several landscape oil paintings on the walls, whose color combinations were pleasing, and brushwork smooth and gentle. Not famous works, yet they carried a romanticism characteristic style, the only bright touch in the room.

"Koa doesn’t talk much, but his character is impeccable," Aunt Lee said while tidying up, "You’ll get to know him over ti; he’s the easiest person to get along with."

"Mm."

Mia Ginger left the study with a soft response.

She greeted and left first.

She had already organized the short stories published on "New Moon," and just as she opened a new docunt to write sothing, Bob Ginger’s QQ icon started flashing in the lower right corner.

[Master!]

[Master!]

[Are you there?]

[I saw your icon light up just now!]

[Why are you ignoring ?!]

Mia Ginger pressed a hand to her forehead and replied—

[Anything you need?]

[What’s up with you lately, so cold.] Bob Ginger sent an emoji and started acting cute.

[Nothing much.]

[Are you upset because last ti I talked about my sister?] Bob Ginger probed, [Do you think I’m ill-mannered, calling my biological sister a pest?]
