Previously, I only thought she was pale, but now I genuinely feel she’s beautiful.
Although thin, she possesses a distinct, graceful resilience, and now being ill, she has an added delicate, charming aura.
Like an extrely fragile flower, needing the gentlest hands to cradle it in the palm.
There’s also a bit of envy, jealousy, and hatred.
She looked at Camden River, glaring, "What? You feel sorry for her again, huh!"
"What are you talking about!" Camden River gave her a look full of irritation, not even bothering to say more.
He indeed felt a sense of pity; right now, Mia Ginger leaning on his back easily reminded people of female figures like Ms. Tearful. But that’s just a completely normal emotion; how co Windsor Myres makes it sound like he harbors so filthy intentions.
Simply overthinking.
Camden River subconsciously glanced at her again, noticing a hint of grievance on her radiant face.
Was she... jealous?
He thought for a mont, suddenly finding it a bit amusing.
He softened his tone, "She’s already like this, put away those ssy thoughts of yours."
"Hmph." Windsor Myres rolled her eyes at him.
Camden River smiled but said nothing.
Windsor Myres seldom sees him smile, and her expression froze for a mont, then she quickly beca happy.
Leaning on his shoulder, the three of them walked together towards the school gate.
After a while, possibly due to the jostling while walking, Mia Ginger let out a discomforted groan.
"Mia Ginger?" Windsor Myres quickly leaned over to call her.
Mia Ginger had one hand resting on Camden River’s back, without opening her eyes, suddenly called out pitifully, "Brother Jackson."
Weakly.
Camden River was stunned, "What did she say?"
"Calling her boyfriend, not you." Windsor Myres replied irritably.
"Is it that man from the other day?"
"Uh-huh," Windsor Myres answered, "Do you know who he is?"
"Who?"
"His grandfather is Cody Jackson."
"Jackson..." Camden River froze, even stopped in his tracks, "Old Master Jackson?"
"What else did you think?" Windsor Myres nudged him with her shoulder, "Now do you feel the disparity?"
Unexpectedly, Camden River laughed, "His grandfather is his grandfather. No matter how Old Master Jackson is, he isn’t him, right? Shouldn’t a person be asured by themselves first?"
"Heh." Windsor Myres chuckled softly, casually remarked, "He’s the youngest brain surgery professor in the country."
"..." Camden River was slightly stunned, "He said that day he’s a doctor. What you ntioned is surprising, Cody Jackson’s grandson beca a doctor."
"Didn’t you just say not to asure people by family background?" Windsor Myres glanced sideways at him, "Now you asure by family background again. But apparently, there’s a reason for that; I heard he and his mother had a car accident at the ti, with one death and one injury. He went abroad for rehabilitation, returned at the beginning of the year, and beca a doctor."
"How do you know so much?" Camden River suddenly asked.
"From hearsay." Windsor Myres smiled and looked at him, then changed the subject, "Hey, I’ve always wondered, what about your parents? What do they do?"
"Well," Camden River hesitated for a mont, "Both are teachers."
"Teachers?" Windsor Myres was montarily surprised, "That’s it? What grade, and what subject? Tell more, I’m curious."
"Chloe, you know? My mom is a professor in the ethnic dance program at the Art College of South Region Normal University," Camden River looked at her, patiently said, "My dad is at the sa university, a professor of archeology in the History College, Troy River. If you’ve watched the ’Treasure Identification’ program, you might know him."
