Darkness descended abruptly, and Charlotte Chester froze, shouting angrily, "What audacity, who are you people? Do you know who I am, daring to attack in this place, don’t you value your lives?"
"Heh heh." A flippant laugh echoed from the darkness.
A blinding light suddenly flickered on.
"Louis... Cox?" Charlotte Chester was startled and called out his na, visibly surprised.
Louis had co with Ivy Cox to Mia Ginger and Zuri Ginger’s birthday party not long ago, so she naturally had so recollection.
Being an acquaintance and having an interest in Mia Ginger was certainly nothing to fear.
Suddenly relaxing, Charlotte Chester sized him up and furrowed her brow tightly, "What do you want? Is there sothing you can’t just say openly? Do you have to coerce us into a private room with such underhanded thods?"
"It seems Madam Ginger has a good mory; I’m quite honored." Louis Cox curled his lips into a smile, not answering her question.
But Charlotte Chester really detested his smile, looking at him with disgust, "What exactly do you want? Hurry and speak! I’m busy and have no ti to chat with you here."
"What do I want?" Louis Cox echoed the question, his narrow eyes squinting as his gaze fell with interest on Zuri Ginger.
His eyes were strikingly handso, full of blatant implications, with which Zuri Ginger was all too familiar. It left her montarily dazed.
She shrank back a step, biting her lip, "What do you want to do?"
"What do you think?" Louis Cox reached out and grasped her chin.
"I’m pregnant, rember."
"Tsk." Louis pinched her face and withdrew his hand, a faint smirk on his lips, "You still look quite cheap."
Zuri Ginger was taken aback, her face suddenly showing a humiliated expression.
Louis Cox lost interest in looking at her, turning to the n beside him, "Take her inside."
Silence filled the room for a mont before a shifty-eyed man hesitated and said, "This woman ntioned she’s pregnant..."
"Oh?" Louis glanced at him, his response irrelevant, "How do you think she looks?"
"Not bad," a few n chid in with laughter.
"Then that’s settled, isn’t it?
The n hurriedly gathered were local ruffians from Eastern Peak Village, quickly understanding his implicit suggestion, and each broke into wide grins, with soone imdiately reaching out to grab Zuri Ginger.
Zuri Ginger was so scared by his words that her legs trembled, and before she could react, her mouth was covered, and she was carried inside.
As rough laughter echoed from within, Louis Cox furrowed his brow slightly and instructed another man beside him, "Go inside and keep an eye on her; don’t let her lose the child."
"Understood."
"Take so photos for reminiscence." Louis added another order.
"Rest assured, Fourth Brother."
The man responded, turning to follow inside.
Only Louis and three tall n remained outside, all eyes on Charlotte Chester.
The room inside was just adjacent, and quickly, Zuri Ginger’s screams and cries reached their ears.
Charlotte Chester’s face changed several tis, struggling to stay upright.
Yet she said nothing.
Since yesterday until today, she’s wished Zuri Ginger dead.
Zuri’s threatening deanor made her grit her teeth in hatred, especially now that she was holding sothing over her, completely unyielding; her fury was boiling with nowhere to vent!
