Camden River yanked her wrist, directly throwing her out.
Windsor Myres was caught off guard, stumbling once, and heavily fell on the uneven floor tiles.
One hand supported on the ground to get up, and for a long while, she just couldn’t stand.
A large patch on her tender, white calf got scraped, and soon, blood started to ooze out.
Camden River froze in disbelief.
He stopped moving forward.
He was filled with anger, wanting to teach her a lesson, but absolutely did not intend for her to get hurt.
By nature, he was righteous and strong. Seeing a girl get hurt, he always felt guilty.
No matter how much justified he felt, it all turned into guilt.
A cold wind blew by, dissipating so of Camden River’s anger. He looked down at her from above, and after a mont, helplessly sighed, bent over to pick her up, and softly said, "Sorry, it wasn’t on purpose."
Windsor Myres looked at him, tucked her arm into his down jacket, holding onto his warm back, but felt it wasn’t enough, so she simply reached inside his sweater, curling up in his embrace as much as possible, feeling aggrieved, "It’s so cold."
Camden River genuinely felt the chill from her arm, his body tensed, he held her and walked out of the community.
"Where are we going?" Windsor Myres’s words had just fallen when Camden River’s phone rang.
"It’s Mia Ginger." She took it out and glanced at it.
"You answer, just say we’re going to stay at a hotel, tell her to rest early, no need to wait." Camden River spoke succinctly.
He had his own pride.
The two of them looking like this, how could they go up?
Windsor Myres made the call while in his arms, and he directly carried her out of the community.
It was already one in the morning.
The cold wind was bone-chilling.
Not to ntion people, there weren’t even a couple of cars on the road.
Camden River held Windsor Myres and walked for about ten minutes, heading to the nearest budget hotel.

In the hotel lobby.
The receptionist on duty was drowsy.
Camden River arrived in front, calling out twice, "Hello, do you have any rooms available?"
"Oh!" The receptionist opened her eyes, seeing an excessively handso young face, smiled dreamily, "Yes... we do."
Camden River glanced up at the room price list hanging on the wall, and said calmly, "A standard room."
"Including a deposit, it’s five hundred."
"Okay." Camden River looked down at Windsor Myres in his arms, "It’s in my back pocket, take out the wallet."
Windsor Myres reached over.
Camden River endured and said, "The right side."
Windsor Myres switched hands, pulled out the wallet, and handed five bills to the hotel receptionist.
The receptionist glanced at her a couple more tis, quickly lowered her head, entered the check-in information on the computer, and handed over the room card.
Windsor Myres reached out to take it, and stuffed the wallet back.
Camden River held her and walked to the elevator.
Went straight up to the fourth floor.
Outside the elevator, it was utterly silent.
A long carpet covered the corridor, and stepping on it made no sound.
The two entered room 407.
Camden River took a step to close the door, Windsor Myres inserted the room card, and the bright light enveloped the entire room.
Windsor Myres snuggled back into Camden River’s arms.
Camden River glanced at her, didn’t say anything, holding her placed her onto the single-seater sofa a few steps away.
He turned around to leave.
"..." Windsor Myres was stunned, hurriedly saying, "Where are you going?"
