She didn’t dodge or hide, and took the initiative to greet him, which left Louis Cox a bit stunned.
For so reason, he suddenly felt the urge to laugh.
Ivy Cox was also a bit surprised. Before she could say anything, the hand of Maeve she was holding onto suddenly slipped out, and she laughed as she said, "Sister Mia, we et again."
"Good girl." Mia Ginger bent down and gave her a big hug.
Maeve was extrely lively, grabbing her arm to climb into her embrace, and turning to Ivy Cox, said, "Mom, Mom, I want to sit with Sister Mia. You can sit with Uncle Louis."
"You little heartless thing." Ivy Cox laughed and scolded, patting Louis Cox on the arm, then sat down on another seat.
Cesar Myres seldom went out these past few years; she represented Cesar Myres in public. Though young, her seniority was not low, so she naturally had her own seat.
Louis Cox glanced at Mia Ginger, smiled, and turned to walk away.
He was actually quite easy to please.
Mia Ginger smiled at him, greeted him warmly and gently, spoke kindly, or contacted him first whenever sothing ca up. All these little gestures filled him with satisfaction instantly, making him unwilling to see her troubled in the slightest.
Earlier, when he saw Koa Jackson, he thought she would definitely avoid him.
But he was wrong.
Mia Ginger’s smile imdiately put him in a very good mood, and so did Ivy Cox who was ahead, and Maeve who was climbing into her arms was even happier.
She was happy, but soone else was not.
While Maeve was climbing, she kicked Blair Chester’s dress with too much force. Blair Chester noticed it too late, leaving a half-child shoeprint on her ivory gown.
But there was no way to explode, so she discreetly glared at Maeve.
Maeve, however, had no eyes in the back of her head, unaware she had upset soone.
She climbed out of Mia Ginger’s embrace, looked up, and t Koa Jackson’s handso pale face. Staring at him for a while, she puffed her pink little cheeks, widened her eyes, and said, "Ugh, this fierce uncle is here too!"
Koa Jackson pursed his thin lips and glanced at her.
Maeve was not willing to show weakness, and the two of them stared at each other wide-eyed.
For a long ti.
Mia Ginger couldn’t help but laugh softly, and whispered to Koa Jackson, "Brother Jackson, don’t scare her."
Koa Jackson: "..."
Was he a monster?
Seeing him not speaking for quite a while, Maeve curled her lips in boredom and muttered, "Uncle, why aren’t you talking today?"
"Nothing to say to you." Koa Jackson suddenly said.
"Pfft." Caiden Ward, who was watching them a couple of seats away, couldn’t help but laugh out loud. "I must say, you’re really bad at chatting."
Maeve turned her head and saw him, widened her big eyes, and grinned, "Handso uncle, you’re here too!"
"Hmm." Caiden Ward looked at her, smiled slightly.
Maeve stared at him for a while, then suddenly turned to Mia Ginger and asked, "Sister Mia, can I sit with Handso Uncle?"
Mia Ginger: "..."
She glanced up at Caiden Ward.
Caiden Ward’s beautiful peach blossom eyes squinted slightly, and he opened his arms to her, saying, "Co on."
In the business world, he had a reputation as a smiling fox. Those who worked with him said he was unlike the Wards at all, being very cunning. He usually loved to have fun and reportedly had a dozen girlfriends, but since there were never any scandals, the Ward family elders could do nothing about him.
As ti went on, they let him be.
Aside from won, his other prominent trait was his devotion to charity work.
Very generous, he had a great reputation in the circles and received high praise from many dia people.
