Outside the car—
Mia Ginger was taking the Chancellor for a stroll and was about to head ho.
A female voice suddenly stopped her from the side.
Turning her head, she saw Aurora Cooper, wearing a dark green coat that reached her calves, walking closer.
"Aunt Cooper," Mia Ginger greeted with a smile.
"Walking the dog?" Aurora Cooper smiled and glanced at the Chancellor’s sharp, serious face, amused.
It was her first ti seeing such a well-behaved dog.
Reserved and obedient, not barking, mysterious, like a gentleman.
Very much like a star among dogs.
"Yes." Mia Ginger smiled with her lips closed, glanced at the car parked nearby, and softly asked, "Are you going ho?"
"I saw you and ca down to say hello." Aurora Cooper said, pondering slightly and tentatively asked, "Haven’t been in touch with the family? Planning to spend New Year’s alone here without going back?"
"I’m going back," Mia Ginger said, rubbing the Chancellor’s head with one hand, "Dad just called; I’m planning to go back this afternoon."
"That’s more like it." Aurora Cooper sighed with relief, advising, "Family is where everything thrives. You must look forward in life. If sothing unpleasant has happened, just forget it and don’t dwell on it—only brings unnecessary sorrow."
"I understand, thank you."
"Alright then, I’ve got nothing else, so I’ll be off first."
"Goodbye, Aunt Cooper."
"Hmm. See you later."
Aurora Cooper wrapped her coat around her, turned around, and left.
She opened the car door and got in.
Zuri Ginger sat inside, and after a long while, she finally recovered from her shock and hesitantly asked, "How does mom know Mia Ginger?"
"A chance encounter," Aurora Cooper didn’t want to elaborate.
Yet, Zuri Ginger felt tumultuous inside, unable to hold back, clenched her fists, and reluctantly spoke, "It’s quite a coincidence; she’s my sister. A while back, she had a fight with mom at ho. My mom got a bit impulsive and slapped her, accidentally injuring her right ear, causing deafness. In anger, she went to live with her boyfriend, and I haven’t seen her for a long ti."
"Deafness?" Aurora Cooper glanced at her, questioning.
Zuri Ginger was stunned.
She found Aurora Cooper’s focus quite peculiar.
Given her age, shouldn’t she focus on Mia Ginger arguing with Charlotte Chester or going to live with her boyfriend?
How could she be so concerned about Mia Ginger, whom she barely knew?
Zuri Ginger looked at her and nodded, "My mom just gave her a slap; she probably didn’t expect it to be so serious."
"Heh." Aurora Cooper let out a cold laugh.
And said no more.
Thinking of Mia Ginger’s face, as big as a palm, it was pitiful.
No wonder the child didn’t want to go back ho.

No wonder Zuri Ginger turned out the way she is—the upbringing of a girl is mostly influenced by her mother; it’s likely related to Charlotte Chester.

Thirdly, she felt she couldn’t stay at Cloudy Capital anymore; everywhere seed marked by Koa Jackson’s presence, driving her mad.
