He spoke while thinking.
Whenever she was thinking, her delicate eyebrows would slightly knit together, making her look innocent and charming.
Koa Jackson looked at her, his gaze could be considered greedy. Even though it was calm and restrained, he did not blink.
Mia Ginger felt a bit nervous under his stare, sheepishly smiling, "Hehe, I haven’t washed my face yet this morning."
"Do you want to wash up?" The nurse, who was always paying attention to her, quickly got up, walked a few steps to the bedside, and asked with a smile.
"Um..." Mia frowned in thought, glancing at Koa Jackson after a while, looking expectantly, "Right. Dr. Jackson, I have another question for you. Can I get out of bed? Lying down all the ti is making my legs go soft."
Koa Jackson chuckled lightly, "Once you’ve washed your face, I’ll wheel you down for a CT scan."
"Okay." Mia suddenly beca happy.
Looking at the nurse and then at him, she whispered while biting her lip, "I need to wash my face and get dressed."
Koa Jackson was slightly taken aback.
Upon realizing, he understood she wanted him to leave the room for a while.
Suddenly, he felt a sense of breathlessness.
"Dr. Jackson?" Mia called again when she saw him daydreaming.
"Yes. You can get ready first." Koa Jackson finished speaking, smiled, and got up to leave the room.
A cool breeze lingered in the hallway, brushing across his face, cold and seed to form a layer of frosty chill.
Getting dressed?
Heh, it’s just putting on a long coat, really.
Yet he needed to leave the room.
How was it in the past?
This girl would always actively climb into his bed, feeling content just nestled in his blanket, even...
Koa Jackson abruptly shut his eyes, unwilling to recall further.
He stood silently outside.
Until he heard Mia calling him from inside, he went back in, carefully assisting her into the wheelchair.
"Aren’t you waiting for Mom?" Mia looked up and asked him.
"No, we won’t wait." Koa Jackson smiled back, "I’ll take you directly; it’s already eleven, and if it gets later, the shift will be over."
"Alright then." Mia nodded with a smile.
For so reason, she just felt that Dr. Jackson was extrely kind and familiar, seeing him made her happy.
She also liked being with him, even just chatting was fine.
Was it because he was her attending physician and thus gave her a sense of security?
Mia thought aimlessly, as Koa Jackson wheeled her away, not saying much, and soon they completed the CT scan.
As they passed through the outpatient hall, Mia casually looked up and saw Koa Jackson’s photo on the bulletin board. After returning from earthquake relief, both he and Lia Chester were comnded as outstanding individuals, featured on the honor board.
The two photos were equal in size, at the sa height, seeming very well-matched.
Looking at the photos, Mia slightly tilted her head back, smiling at Koa Jackson, "Is Dr. Chester your girlfriend? You two look quite compatible."
"..."
Koa Jackson was taken aback, glanced at the photo as well, his lips pressed tightly together.
Mia looked puzzled, watching his expression, wondering if he was upset?
After all, they weren’t that familiar.
She was being too nosy.
No matter how good-natured Dr. Jackson was, he probably wouldn’t like a stranger prying into his private affairs, right?
Mia blinked and gave a shy smile, pitifully saying, "I’m sorry."
"..."
Koa Jackson still said nothing, pushing her towards the inpatient departnt.
Mia felt her head swell, clasping her hands together, she looked at him, her voice soft as she begged, "Dr. Jackson, dear doctor, please, please, I didn’t an to snoop, I was just a bit curious..."
