I don’t know why, but I just feel really uncomfortable.
The nurse auntie looked at her and said softly, "Why not just go back and rest?"
"No need." Mia Ginger exhaled, looked in Koa Jackson’s direction, and smiled softly, "Could you please push over to Dr. Jackson?"
"..." The nurse auntie was stunned for a mont, then smiled and said, "Alright."
With that, she pushed her toward Koa Jackson.
"Dr. Jackson." The wheelchair stopped by the bench, and Mia Ginger called out softly.
Koa Jackson was taken aback and turned to see her.
He didn’t say anything, but got up and stubbed out the half-smoked cigarette on a nearby trash can.
He sat back down and asked with a smile, "Why did you co down?"
"I saw the sun was nice, so I asked the auntie to push down to bask in the sun and get so calcium." Mia Ginger smiled with curved lips.
"Hmm." Koa Jackson nodded, "The sun is nice."
With those words, there was silence.
Being seen like this by Mia Ginger made him feel a bit uneasy, a little embarrassed and awkward.
Mia Ginger pursed her lips and glanced at him, probing, "Is Dr. Jackson in a bad mood?"
"It’s nothing." Koa Jackson smiled at her.
"Nothing?" Mia Ginger puffed her cheeks and said slowly, "It’s my first ti seeing you smoke. You must be in a bad mood. Could it be because of your girlfriend? Hasn’t she forgiven you yet?"
"She left for now." Koa Jackson said calmly.
"Oh." Mia Ginger pursed her lips and said helplessly, "No wonder you’re smoking."
Koa Jackson pursed his lips.
Mia Ginger exhaled and sighed, "But smoking is bad for your health, especially since you’re a doctor. You should try not to smoke. Besides, you’ve already explained, if that sister doesn’t want you, it’s her loss!"
She spoke with her lips pouted, still looking a bit upset.
Koa Jackson fixed his eyes on her and suddenly smiled.
He moved a step, sat down by the bench, and said seriously, "You’re right, it’s her loss."
"Yes, yes." Mia Ginger beca happy too, rolled her eyes in thought, feeling she should divert his attention, and then said depressively, "I have a headache, Dr. Jackson, can you check it for ?"
"Co here." Koa Jackson smiled faintly and raised his hand to touch her head.
He gently rubbed in one direction.
Mia Ginger squinted her eyes to feel it, her fair face basked in the sunlight, looking very comfortable, like a little cat sunbathing.
The two of them were very close, at arm’s length.
Koa Jackson lowered his eyes and could even count her lightly trembling eyelashes.
His breathing beca heavier, all exhaled onto her delicate skin.
Mia Ginger felt ticklish and couldn’t help but retract her neck, reached up, wanting to rub her face.
Her fingers brushed past Koa Jackson’s lips.
She froze entirely.
Quickly, she smiled and said, "Alright, it’s not itchy anymore."
"Hmm." Koa Jackson stopped his actions, pursed his lips, and moved a bit away from her.
Mia Ginger lowered her head, desperately trying to restrain the surging emotions.
Just that instant, her heart almost jumped out.
Her face felt hot.
A man like Dr. Jackson, shouldn’t be so close, right?
Mia Ginger always felt he had a kind of magic.
His presence made her instinctively want to get closer. His dark and deep eyes were like a vortex, she didn’t dare to look directly, as if she might get sucked in.
