Holding the glass bottle in hand, he shook it lightly, watching the colorful stars swirl inside, feeling quite cheerful.
Koa Jackson ca to see her before finishing work.
As he walked outside the hospital room, he heard her humming a song softly.
He paused for a mont, then thought it must be because Dallas Taylor visited in the afternoon, and his mood instantly plumted.
Pursing his lips, he went inside.
"Dr. Jackson." Mia Ginger bead as soon as she saw him, smiling brightly, "You’re just in ti. I have a gift for you."
"For ?" Koa Jackson paused.
"Yes." Mia Ginger handed over the glass bottle, smiled and said, "I folded these myself—lucky stars, for you. I hope every day in your future goes smoothly and cheerfully."
Koa Jackson raised his hand to take the glass bottle, looking at it for a couple of seconds.
His gaze landed on one of the stars inside, smiling he said, "It’s the first ti I’ve seen such an ugly lucky star."
Mia Ginger: "..."
After a mont, she glares and said, "If you don’t want it, just give it back."
"Is it possible to take back what’s been given away?" Koa Jackson smiled faintly, "I’ll keep it."
Not even a thank you...
Mia Ginger rolled her eyes at him, with a hint of annoyance, "They’re not ugly at all. Look, these over here are what’s really ugly."
She lifted a corner of the blanket, showing the small pile of discarded stars next to her to Koa Jackson.
Koa Jackson was taken aback for a mont, then laughed, "Thanks."
"That’s more like it." Mia Ginger finally felt satisfied, watching him, she smiled, "You’re about to finish work, aren’t you?"
"Yeah."
"Heading ho? Or going out with friends?"
Koa Jackson glanced at her, pulled a chair to sit beside her bed, and smiled, "I’m not telling you."
Mia Ginger: "..."
Why is Dr. Jackson suddenly being so annoying?
Mia Ginger looked at him, pouted, and simply stayed silent.
"I’m going ho." Koa Jackson laughed.
"I don’t care about you anymore."
"Are you mad?" Koa Jackson looked at her, using that extrely gentle and doting tone, "Why so petty? I was just teasing you earlier."
"I’m not petty at all." Mia Ginger snuggled further under the quilt, pouting.
"Mm, how about I admit I’m petty?" Koa Jackson couldn’t help but laugh, softly soothing her, "It’s my fault."
"Do you treat your girlfriend this gently too?" Mia Ginger suddenly asked.
Koa Jackson smiled, stopped talking.
Mia Ginger reached up to touch her head, thoughtfully said, "You’re so gentle with a patient like , you must be even better with your girlfriend. Why would she misunderstand you? Just leave you over a small misunderstanding?"
"She’s young and doesn’t understand."
"Young?" Mia Ginger paused, curious, "How old?"
"Sa age as you, twenty years old."
"Twenty years old?" Mia Ginger was extrely surprised, looking him over mischievously, "So Dr. Jackson likes young girls."
Koa Jackson: "..."
"Girls need to be pampered." Mia Ginger advised him, "Pamper her more, and it’ll be fine."
"Yeah." Koa Jackson agreed.
Mia Ginger pursed her lips, looking at him, suddenly fell silent.
Feeling a bit uncomfortable.
Hard to say why, but it seed like a bit of jealousy.
The girl Dr. Jackson values and cherishes should be very happy, right?
But, then—
She still doesn’t appreciate it.
Mia Ginger let her thoughts wander, feeling sad.
