"Your cousin just took over the company before the New Year. He’s very busy," Olivia explained.
"Hmm..."
Mia Ginger dragged out her response thoughtfully, looking at her. Suddenly rembering sothing, she turned to retrieve a necklace from under her pillow, opened her palm to ask, "Sister Olivia, do you rember this necklace?"
"Angel’s Wings," Olivia was taken aback.
"Oh right," Mia tilted her head, "I think that’s the na."
"What... happened to it?"
"I rember it was at the charity event before the New Year, but I can’t quite recall the situation at the ti. Did Dallas Taylor give it to ?" Mia frowned, "Weren’t you there too? Tell about what happened. I want to know."
"..." Olivia looked at the necklace, silent for a long ti.
Mia said uncertainly, "You forgot too."
Olivia forced a smile, about to speak when her phone suddenly rang.
"I’ll take this call first."
"Okay." Mia nodded.
She quietly leaned against the bed, waiting for her to finish the call.
Olivia said a few brief words, hung up the phone, and frowned deeply, sighing.
Mia looked at her, curious, "Are you looking for an apartnt?"
"Yes." Olivia nodded, helplessly, "It’s not easy to find, either the rent is too high or the location is too far. I haven’t found a suitable one in days."
"Clear New District?" Mia asked again.
"Uh-huh."
"Heh." Mia couldn’t help but laugh, comforting her, "Don’t worry about it. You can stay at my place. It’s in that Accordion Road area, a two-bedroom. It’s just sitting empty."
"Accordion Road?" Olivia was surprised.
"Yes." Mia smiled, "It’s not far from our school. My dad bought it at the beginning of the year, and no one usually lives there. I think... it’s not far from Cloud Sky Group, probably a fifteen-minute taxi ride, and the tro is even more convenient."
"It’s not far at all." Olivia fell silent for a mont, hesitating.
She and Mia weren’t very familiar, having only t twice. The reason she ca now was mainly to tell her the truth.
Actually, she’d been conflicted all along.
She hadn’t expected Mia would help her solve a problem like this.
"The community environnt is really good. There’s water, electricity, natural gas, and central heating, plus furniture. You can move in with just a bag," Mia explained further, not knowing what made her hesitant.
"I just feel a bit uneasy." Olivia pressed her lips, "It doesn’t feel quite right."
"There’s nothing wrong with it," Mia frowned, "The apartnt’s idle anyway. Even if I recover, I’ll mostly be at school, and no one’s there. You’re just adding so life to it."
"..." Olivia hesitated for a while, smiled, saying, "Then I’ll pay you half a year’s rent first."
Mia was taken aback, "No need to be so formal, I’m not short on money."
"I know you’re not," Olivia smiled lightly, "But I should give it, otherwise I’ll feel uneasy living there..."
"Hmm." Mia nodded, "Alright then, I’ll give you the keys later. You can go check out the apartnt, and if you’re satisfied, just transfer the rent to via Alipay."
"Okay." Olivia smiled, feeling relieved inside.
Mia raised her hand to hang the necklace around her neck, lowered her head slightly, "Then help put on the necklace."
"Okay." Olivia leaned over to help her with the necklace.
Mia pinched the necklace with her fingertips, rubbing it twice, looking at it wistfully.
Softly, she said, "I feel quite guilty towards Dallas Taylor."
"Hmm?" Olivia was startled.
