Mia Ginger wasn’t in much better shape than him.
She clutched her phone angrily all the way back to the dormitory.
There was an elective class in the afternoon, and the other girls in the dorm had already gone to class, except for Windsor Myres.
She was still sleeping.
Mia glanced up at her but didn’t wake her, grabbing her books and heading straight to class.
A bit late.
The lecture hall was packed with students; she glanced around and looked at the instructor, noticing the teacher had a headset on, so she was relieved and sat down in one of the empty seats in the back rows.
The guy next to her seed a bit familiar.
She saw him smile and recognized him as one of Camden River’s dormmates.
Ali Harris, who’d had dinner and karaoke with them last night.
Mia smiled back and took her seat.
It was only natural that she noticed the study materials beside him.
Startled, she asked, "Are you taking the IELTS?"
"Huh?" He glanced at her, then realized she was looking at the book beside him. He smiled, "Not , it’s Camden River."
"Camden River?" Mia was surprised, "He’s going abroad?"
"There are two exchange student spots in the departnt this year," Ali explained, "Your art stream classes have one spot, and the few classes in front of us have one too, to Johnson University. Everyone wants to go if they have the chance."
"..." Mia was montarily speechless.
Of course she knew it was a great opportunity; she just hadn’t thought Camden River would go for it too.
Although—
If he wanted to go, it was pretty much a sure thing.
For one, his grades were good, and second, she also knew the Cooper Family was well off.
But—
She was still taken by surprise.
Completely unprepared.
Mia let out an "oh" just as the late-arriving Camden River was already standing beside her.
Mia quickly made room for him.
Ali, perhaps to avoid inconvenience, shifted further in, and Camden took his original seat.
The elective lecturer randomly called attendance and started the class.
Camden began reading his book.
Mia glanced over and noticed his book was brand new.
Just when she was about to relax, she saw he directly took out a notebook to make dense notes.
Well, the learning style of a top student is always different from that of the average person.
Mia liked to scribble in the margins of her book.
She also opened her book, the textbook for class, equally new.
After not attending class for two months, her progress was naturally different from others. Fortunately, she was naturally sensitive to words and their elective course was inherently interesting, not at all tedious.
In no ti, she had flipped through over twenty pages, drawing many horizontal lines.
Camden casually glanced at her and pushed his book over, whispering, "There were two assignnts earlier, the first question on page eight and the thought question on page twenty-one. You should complete them and hand them in, they’re counted towards your regular grade."
"Thanks." Mia took the book without hesitation and opened it to take a look.
The answers were right there in the book.
Camden had made so notes as well; his handwriting, like the person himself, was neat and clear, very pretty.
However—
Compared to Koa Jackson’s handwriting, it was still a bit lacking.
Though Koa’s writing was harder to read, with too many connected strokes.
Effortlessly flowing, carrying a masterly flair.
