Mia Ginger nodded, turned around and quickly washed her face in the bathroom. She ran her fingers through her fluffy hair, and caught up with Aunt Lee as they headed to the living room.
"Co here."
Koa Jackson was waiting in the living room and called out to her as soon as he saw her from a distance.
Mia Ginger pressed her lips together and went to his side.
He always wore a white shirt and black trousers at ho. Sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed, he exuded a casual and laid-back deanor, looking charming.
"This girl." Koa Jackson held her arm and turned her towards the tailor sitting on the sofa. "Where would it be convenient to take the asurents?"
"What do you think, miss?"
The tailor was slender, with graying hair. He stood straight and was in his sixties, yet still full of vitality.
"Anywhere is fine. How about here?"
"Alright." The tailor smiled, got up from the table with a asuring tape, and walked up to her.
"Don’t be nervous, just stand straight." The tailor stretched the asuring tape and started asuring, while Aunt Lee stood by taking notes.
Mia Ginger chanically lifted her arm, staring ahead, but couldn’t help sneaking a glance at Koa Jackson.
"Stand still," Koa Jackson noticed her at first glance and teased her with a laugh, saying, "When we make clothes in the future, we’ll go by this asurent. The more accurate, the better."
"Still too skinny." The tailor asured her waist and sighed at the number. "You should eat more regularly. Young girls shouldn’t always think about dieting, health is more important."
"I even ate half a plate of at last night, but it didn’t help," Mia Ginger puffed up her cheeks and said, tilting her head with a bit of innocent grievance.
The tailor paused for a mont, then he and Aunt Lee both laughed.
Koa Jackson sat up straight, looking her over, a hint of a smile touching his eyes.
Mia Ginger looked up and saw it, suddenly dumbfounded.
She couldn’t tear her gaze away.
He rarely smiled, but when he did, it was indeed captivating. It suddenly reminded her of a poem.
"Suddenly, like a night of spring breeze, thousands of pear trees bloom."
Though the famous line was about snow, it made her feel the joy and warmth of spring returning to the earth.
He had a cool and aloof deanor, elegant like a plum blossom, but there were always monts like this, where an inadvertent glance and a faint smile could comfort her.
Like a branch of pale white pear flowers in the spring breeze.
Just quietly standing there, it seed to carry the gentle warmth of the spring breeze, warming the heart.
Brother Jackson...
I really like you.
Mia Ginger silently said in her heart, lowering her head and smiling to herself.
Gentle as water.
Koa Jackson had been observing her.
Seeing her suddenly lower her head and giggle, he was montarily stunned.
Soon after, the vexation that had weighed on his heart since yesterday afternoon completely dissipated, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
Before long—
The tailor finished taking asurents and left.
Uncle Lewis invited Mia Ginger to sit on the sofa and have so tea.
Once he moved away to busy himself, Koa Jackson calmly called out, "Mia Ginger."
"Hmm?"
Mia Ginger took a small sip of tea and looked in his direction when she heard him.
She froze.
"Give your hand," Koa Jackson said softly, taking her hand and sliding the jade bracelet onto her wrist.
Mia Ginger looked down at it, speechless.
"Co to if anything happens in the future," Koa Jackson ruffled her hair, with a faint smile carrying a hint of indulgence and helplessness, "understand?"
"How did it end up with you?" Mia Ginger blushed slightly and asked quietly.
"Caiden Ward," Koa Jackson replied smoothly.
The words "Ward Clan Pawnshop" flashed in her mind, and Mia Ginger understood imdiately. She pressed her lips together and said in a low voice, "Thank you, Brother Jackson."
