Denver tossed his phone onto the bed and prepared to take a shower.

He picked it up, glanced at it, and answered directly.
A hearty voice ca from Mother Petal, "Not asleep yet?"
"Just about to shower."
"Oh." Mother Petal laughed, "I’m calling for nothing much, just to remind you that tomorrow is Friday. Make sure to bring Olivia back, I’ll make so dumplings for her. I heard she likes them."
Denver paused slightly, pursing his lips, and said, "Got it."
"Where’s Olivia?" Mother Petal asked again.
"She’s already in the shower. If there’s anything, we’ll talk about it when we co ho tomorrow."
"Oh?" Mother Petal chuckled, elongating her tone, "Alright, then. I’ll let you go and won’t disturb you."
Denver hung up the phone, exhaling a breath.
The family kept urging him, leaving him with no choice. Tired of facing the various blind dates his mother arranged, he suddenly turned his attention to Olivia, thinking they had similar situations and would get along well.

He could feel that his mood and his life both gained so pleasant emotions because of this decision.
Denver thought briefly and sent Olivia a text, "Tomorrow is Friday. I’ll co pick you up from work to go ho. My mom said you liked dumplings, and she’s prepared everything and waiting for you at ho."
Olivia wasn’t asleep yet and quickly replied, "I might have to work overti tomorrow."
"Until what ti?"
"Not sure yet."
"Just call when you get off work."
"Okay."
They exchanged a few brief words, and Denver placed the phone on the bedside table.

A platinum chain with a cloud-shaped pendant, with a delicate rainbow design at the upper right corner, made from small colored diamonds. It shimred beautifully under the light.
It was the birthday gift he prepared for Olivia.
Thinking of this, Denver sighed lightly and tossed the box back into the drawer.
