Maeve was barefoot and quickly ran to the stairway.
"Maeve!" Caiden Ward naturally beca anxious and furrowed his brow, shouting.

Caiden Ward’s blood froze for a second. When he ca to his senses, he didn’t even know how he managed to walk, rushing over in a panic, squatting at the stair’s corner to support her.

"Where does it hurt? Is it your forehead?" Caiden asked, carrying her back to the master bedroom, turning on the main light and carefully examining her under the light before finally letting out a sigh of relief.
