The two of them locked eyes.
Frank Holland had already looked away when he heard her suddenly shout, "Thief!"
As soon as she said it, she stood sideways next to the cart, blocking the path.
Mia Ginger had thought it through; the space was limited, and the boy looked so weak, while Frank was tall and strong, surely he could easily subdue him in no ti?

Frank Holland was already by her side, asking urgently, "Are you okay?"
"Not okay," Mia replied irritably.
Why did she have to ddle so much, thinking it would just be a simple act to call out, and she almost heroically sacrificed herself.
Actually, it wasn’t Frank’s fault.

Mia frowned tightly in pain, ignoring the cart and holding her arm with one hand.
Frank took out a handkerchief from his pocket, folded it over her wound, and urged, "Hang in there."
As soon as he said this, he grabbed his shopping bag with one hand and Mia’s cart with the other, then dragged the boy who was trying to run down the escalator by the collar.
At the bottom of the escalator, there were supermarket staff organizing carts. Frank imdiately said, "Please call security."
The staff quickly reacted and walked briskly away.
Mia held her wrist, with blood seeping through the handkerchief, but it didn’t seem as terrifying now, as the bleeding appeared to have stopped.
Frank, unconcerned with the items for the mont, focused on restraining the thief.
The thief begged for rcy, but Frank promptly kicked him, forcing him to kneel on the ground.
Other people coming off the escalator started pointing and comnting.
"This young lady is really brave."
"It’s not easy to do good deeds these days."
"Such a young age, yet behaving so poorly."
"With hands and feet, why not find a legitimate job?"
"Let him sit in the police station."
"...."
Mia was the one being praised, making her feel a bit embarrassed as she awkwardly turned her head to the side.
Frank glanced down at her, with a faint smile on his lips.
Thinking back to the scene of her heroically blocking the thief, he found it sowhat amusing.
Soon enough—
Two mall security guards arrived and escorted the thief away.
With one wrist injured, Mia naturally couldn’t carry anything, so Frank willingly carried all the shopping bags, looked at her, and said, "There should be a clinic nearby, I’ll accompany you to get it checked."
"No need," Mia started to say, but then changed her mind, "Okay."
