Having no choice but to walk and talk, "So, how about you and Windsor Myres?"
"We broke up," Camden River replied truthfully.
His voice was too calm, and Mia Ginger couldn’t hear the slightest trace of emotion in it. Lost in thought, she bit her lip and tentatively asked, "Is this how it’s going to be from now on?"
"Hmm..." Before Camden River could finish his sentence, his gaze fell sowhere, and he pressed his lips together.
Mia Ginger was waiting for his answer when she suddenly heard the sound of car doors opening and closing in succession not far away. Quickly, a group of journalists erged from nowhere, caras slung and microphones raised, enclosing the two in the center.
"Are you Mia Ginger?"
"What exactly happened with the kidnapping case last night?"
"Was your sister Zuri Ginger behind it?"
"What do you think of the comnts online?"
"Do you know about your mom going on the program on Thursday?"
"Did Zuri Ginger pay soone to kidnap you?"
"Miss Ginger?"
"Mia Ginger, could you please respond?"
One question after another exploded like bombs in her ears. Mia Ginger felt her head buzzing and furrowed her brow instinctively.
She had always thought of becoming a journalist in the future and was already working towards it. Yet, facing such a scene, she still found it headache-inducing, easily triggering so particularly unpleasant mories in her mind.
She hated this disorderly bombardnt of questions, utterly detested it.
Camden River glanced at her expression and said in a low voice, "How about we head back to the dorm first?"
The headlines that appeared online were exclusive, and as expected, they incited various dia outlets to compete for coverage. Mia Ginger had left the school alone. Seeing her from afar, Camden River felt uneasy and used it as an excuse to accompany her for a bit.

I have two requests: first, I will answer one question from each of you, and second, don’t block the way further after the questions. Is that okay?"

"Yes," Mia Ginger answered.
"Then are you admitting that you are an illegitimate child?" the reporter asked again.
Mia Ginger glanced at her but said nothing.
The second journalist asked outright, "Are you admitting you’re an illegitimate child?"
"No."
"Are you Zuri Ginger’s sister?" a third reporter asked, gritting their teeth.
"No."
Everyone was stunned simultaneously.
A reporter remarked irritably, "Miss Ginger, could you cooperate a bit?"
