August 12th.
Clear to cloudy, Camilia Davis buried.
Mia Ginger stood in front of the tombstone, from when the sun was shining bright until the clouds weighed heavily.
It’s apparent that the storm is coming.
Louis Cox looked up at the sky, took a step forward, grabbed her arm, and leaned in: "Let’s go, the heavy rain will start soon."
"My mom disliked rainy days the most." Mia Ginger looked at the slightly reserved smile on Camilia Davis’s tombstone and said in a drifting voice, "Because it’s difficult to set up stalls on rainy days, quite troubleso."
"Mia Ginger."
Louis Cox took a deep breath and looked at her, "Aunt Davis is gone, but you still have ."
"I used to hate her so much." Mia Ginger said, "The day I found out she deceived , I wished I could kill her. You couldn’t imagine how much I hated her at the ti."
"It’s all in the past."
Louis Cox sighed, "The past is gone. Why bring it up? Your mom didn’t want to make things difficult for you, you understand?"
"Haha, not wanting to make things difficult for , yes."
Mia Ginger’s thin shoulders trembled lightly, her voice low and hoarse, it wasn’t clear whether it was crying or laughing, a bit strange, scattered in the sudden gust of wind.
Imdiately after, raindrops the size of beans ca down fast.
Pounding from the dark sky, making it impossible to dodge.
"Let’s go, let’s go." Louis Cox forcibly dragged Mia Ginger’s wrist.
"Sister Mia, let’s head back first."
"It’s pouring, we can visit Aunt Davis another day."
Little Patten and Zoey Leaf quickly chid in from behind.
Mia Ginger, dragged a few steps by Louis Cox, looked back at the tombstone blurred in the rain, her scalding tears and the icy raindrops poured down her cheeks.
The two young n who had been silent for a long ti closely followed the group down the steps.
The storm ca suddenly, and none of them carried umbrellas, dressed lightly as they were. Besides tombstones and pine trees, the cetery offered no shelter from the rain.
The two n following exchanged a glance, one stepped forward quickly and said to Mia Ginger, "Miss, the rain is too heavy, let’s walk quickly and get in the car."
"I’m fine." Mia Ginger lifted her face and said.
As she spoke, she drank a mouthful of rainwater.
The cold water stread down her warm throat, suddenly chilling her to the bone.
Her eyes were bright red.
The speaker was Mason Sutton, Aiden Jiang’s assistant. He had seen her a few tis before and suddenly felt a pang of sympathy, so he didn’t speak further.
Louis Cox’s face showed alertness. He tightened his grip on Mia Ginger’s wrist, while walking and talking: "Are you thinking of going back to the Ginger Family?"
"Yes."
Louis Cox was startled, stopped and looked at her seriously, "Can’t you not go back? Under my na, there are several places you can stay at if you want."
"As your girlfriend?" Mia Ginger smiled.
"No need," Louis Cox’s face darkened slightly, furrowing his brow, "Do you think I would take advantage of soone’s difficulties?"
Mia Ginger paused for a mont, "It was just a joke."
Louis Cox: "...So are you going?"
"No." Mia Ginger said as she continued directly downward.
Her thin shirt was already soaked by the rain, crumpled and stuck to her body, outlining the contour of her tight-fitting vest underneath, revealing her slender back and beautiful butterfly bones.
Louis Cox watched the raindrops roll down her fair neck, disappearing into her light-colored shirt collar, his throat moved, and his body suddenly felt tense.
Damn!
