At this mont, Director Zheng wanted to find a deserted place to cry. It was really a joke that the director of the largest hospital in Jiangning City was flustered by a re 22-year-old young man.
"Secretary Long, if there's nothing else, I'll be leaving now," said Luo Chao.
Long Zhenguo's eyes were still full of gratitude, and he quickly stood up: "Brother Lu, let see you off."
Luo Chao shook his head: "Secretary Long, you'd better stay and take good care of Aunt." He then looked at Xiang i and smiled slightly, "Aunt, have a good rest. Drink the herbal dicine three tis a day, and in a month, those cancer cells shouldn't affect your body anymore."
Xiang i smiled and said, "Yes, thank you very much."
Luo Chao walked out of the ward, and as he reached the corridor, he found several doctors, including Aunt's attending physician, standing at the door. When they saw Luo Chao co out, the attending physician's expression was sowhat playful: "The play is over, right? Young people nowadays always dabble in unprofessional things."
The other doctors imdiately burst into a fit of ridicule: "Charlatan, at least make it look convincing. Huff!"
With a "slap" sound, a palm landed. The attending physician, shocked, held his head blankly as Director Zheng stord out angrily and smacked him on the head.
The attending physician was stunned by Director Zheng's slap, and the other doctors were also dumbfounded. The attending physician hurriedly stamred, "Director Zheng, there's that guy!"
"Yes, Director, you hit the wrong person," the other doctors pointed to Luo Chao not far away and said.
The possibility that Director Zheng was seeing things was unlikely since he was always spirited. All the doctors were silently thinking, and they further despised Luo Chao, assuming his low-level trickery had made the director furious enough to mistake soone else.
"I'll deal with you all later!" Director Zheng gave all the doctors a glare. At this mont, the doctors noticed sothing was wrong. The director hit the wrong person, but did he actually curse the wrong people too? Could it be that he didn't hit the wrong person at all?
At this mont, all the doctors, including the attending physician, felt a chill up their spines. What was going on?
"Divine Doctor Lu, please wait," Luo Chao walked away quickly. Zheng Hai hurried to catch up to him, but hearing "Divine Doctor Lu," the doctors were stunned, standing there frozen with shock.
Director Zheng was a renowned professor, he couldn't possibly be mistaken like this. All the doctors had a sinking feeling and involuntarily glanced towards the ward. When they saw the scene inside, they were even more startled, seeing Secretary Long sitting by the bed talking and laughing with an elderly lady they were all too familiar with—
"How can this be, how can this be!" The attending physician was so terrified he couldn't catch his breath and fainted.
The attending physician had issued a critical condition notice and predicted that Secretary Long's mother wouldn't survive past three people. Yet, in less than half an hour, she was vibrant and cheerfully chatting with her son. This was too much for the attending physician to handle!
Oh my God, he really is a Divine Doctor! The other doctors looked at Luo Chao, who was leaving, with fear, feeling like their hearts couldn't take it. He saved a dying person, and from late-stage intestinal cancer, no less. This world is too crazy!
At this mont, the attending physician was unconscious on the floor, yet none of the other doctors paid him any mind, all absorbed in how to apologize to the director since they had just bad-mouthed the Divine Doctor.
"It's all Doctor Wang's fault for dragging us here to watch the show. Now look what happened," so of the doctors said with resentnt, but as they looked around, they found Doctor Wang missing. Then they looked at the floor and exclaid, "Doctor Wang fainted—"
"Divine Doctor Lu, please wait," Zheng Hai, panting, finally caught up to Luo Chao, blocking his path.
Luo Chao stopped and asked, "Director Zheng, do you need sothing from ?"
"I want to beco your apprentice," said Zheng Hai, blushing.
As Doctor Wang was revived by being pinched and overheard Director Zheng's words, he rolled his eyes and fainted again. The other doctors felt as if the world was collapsing. The director of Jiangning City's largest hospital actually wanted to beco the apprentice of a young man in his twenties. Just the thought was mind-boggling.
Luo Chao paused, then laughed: "Director Zheng, aren't you confused by your age? You're old enough to be my ntor, how can you be my apprentice?"
"Ahem—" Zheng Hai coughed lightly and feigned seriousness, saying, "Divine Doctor Lu, as the saying goes, 'accomplishnt cos before age.' Becoming an apprentice isn't about age."
Luo Chao laughed, "Old man, you're not bad, even stealing my lines now."
Earlier, when Zheng Hai had questioned Luo Chao, Luo Chao had indeed ntioned 'accomplishnt cos from specialization,' albeit omitting the first part. It seed Zheng Hai was repeating it now as if he had just learned it, shaless indeed.
Zheng Hai blushed and said, "Divine Doctor Lu, teach traditional dicine, and also—" his voice lowered significantly: "Eighteen Needles of Returning to Life!"
Luo Chao was startled, not expecting the old man to recognize his acupuncture technique. However, since Zheng Hai was a reputable doctor and had lived such a long ti, it wasn't outlandish for him to know.
Seeing Luo Chao's reaction, Zheng Hai quickly said, "Divine Doctor Lu, don't worry. I'll never speak of this matter, and I'll ensure the hospital keeps Secretary Long's mother's recovery a secret."
"Alright, I can accept you as my apprentice, but," Luo Chao hesitated, pursing his lips, "there's a condition."
Zheng Hai, anxious, imdiately asked, "But what, Divine Doctor Lu, please just tell ."
"I know you want to learn Eighteen Needles of Returning to Life, so you should first exercise your body. When you can cultivate Dantian True Qi, I can take you as my apprentice," Luo Chao left these words, then took the elevator and left, leaving Director Zheng dumbfounded at the elevator door.
Zheng Hai was eager to learn the miraculous acupuncture technique but overlooked a crucial detail: Eighteen Needles of Returning to Life requires the enhancent of True Qi to achieve its miraculous effects. His face turned pale; at his age, trying to train his body severely wasn't feasible.
Realizing this, Zheng Hai imdiately abandoned the thought with a sigh: "Looks like I'll never be able to learn Eighteen Needles of Returning to Life in this lifeti, but I'm fortunate enough to have witnessed it once, which is not in vain."
