In the center of Southeast City's downtown area, within a sprawling cinema complex, Li Ruotong was holding Luo Chao's arm, skipping joyfully towards the automatic ticket machine, exuding the vibrant energy of a girl-next-door.
"I've already bought my tickets online," Li Ruotong said with a giggle, then she took out her phone, scanned the QR code, and with a swish, two movie tickets ca out of the machine.
Luo Chao glared at the screen, sure enough, it was the blockbuster starring a big celebrity, "Love at First Sight." He sighed with a smile, "Ruotong, haven't you seen this movie already?"
Li Ruotong teased, "I was the star of this movie, do you think I haven't seen it?"
Clearly, Luo Chao was stating the obvious. As the leading actress, Li Ruotong was among the first to screen this film. Yet, her face bead as she said, "I just wanted to watch it with you."
"Alright then," Luo Chao felt a bit resigned, thinking that the big star was soon returning to Beijing, might as well spend more ti with her.
At this mont, the movie was about to start. Li Ruotong held onto his arm and walked into the screening room. As they seated themselves, the once brightly lit cinema suddenly fell into darkness, and the big screen began to play "Love at First Sight."
"Love at First Sight" tells the story of a pair of urban white-collars who fall in love at first sight on a bus, yet neither confesses their feelings, keeping this love hidden in their hearts. The male lead continuously creates coincidences to et the female lead, their emotions deepening, although neither breaks the ice. This is a tearjerker, and when the big screen showed the male lead's anguished discovery of his late-stage cancer, everyone who was emotionally touched took out tissues, sobbing softly.
Even Li Ruotong's eyes were red at this point, but when she glanced at Luo Chao, she was both amused and annoyed, as he was drooling, leaning on the seat asleep. Possibly only he could manage to fall asleep watching such a movie!
Li Ruotong felt both shy and exasperated, pinched his arm, and Luo Chao jolted awake, quickly sitting up. Realizing the drool at the corner of his mouth, he blushed with embarrassnt and quickly wiped it away with his hand. Seeing Li Ruotong's teary eyes, he chuckled awkwardly, "Hmm, hmm, truly touching, really great!"
Apparently, he had fallen asleep when the movie started! Li Ruotong was fuming inside, her cheeks puffed as she said, "Luo Chao, why don't you tell what's so great?"
"Cough cough—" Luo Chao coughed twice, saying, "The leading actress is beautiful, that's good enough."
Li Ruotong felt shy yet pleased, knowing that Luo Chao was flattering her. He hadn't seen it at all, not because he didn't want to, but because he was genuinely uninterested in romance films. He preferred the slapstick dramas directed by Zhou, which were vivid and amusing.
"Fine, I'll forgive you this ti," Li Ruotong said softly, "But you better start paying attention now, as the best parts are coming up."
Luo Chao nodded, yet suddenly noticed the person sitting in front of him looked familiar. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be Lin Jiaming!
Director Lin had actually co to the cinema to watch a movie, which was quite rare. Luo Chao quickly observed Lin Jiaming was wrapping his arm around a woman beside him, her back slender, hair flowing, seemingly a woman of good appearance.
This Director Lin really can't change his spots, swapping another young starlet, Luo Chao mused. He whispered in Li Ruotong's ear, "Look in front, see who it is."
Li Ruotong looked over in curiosity and was equally surprised, "It's Lin Jiaming, quite the coincidence."
At this mont, one of Lin Jiaming's hands was touching the young starlet, under the cover of darkness, the starlet panting repeatedly, making sounds akin to a cat in heat, drawing blushes on Li Ruotong's face.
"So shaless in public," Li Ruotong turned away, snorting.
Luo Chao's gaze then caught sight of a man in the corner, his hand reaching into his pants, his eyes fiery as he stared at Li Ruotong on the big screen.
This person was absolutely a divine-level creep! Luo Chao was amused and resigned, certainly not wanting to ntion this to Li Ruotong, lest it disgust the big star.
Indeed, Li Ruotong's allure was irresistible, on the big screen she was dressed ticulously, with just a hint of makeup, even more enchanting.
Listening to the moans of the young starlet beside him, Director Lin's heart burned. This little starlet was truly seductive!
At this mont, the young starlet's moans grew louder, those around blushing, with so girls unable to bear it and leaving, while the boys secretly watched this tantalizing scene, such a lively spectacle deserved to be savored.
"Director Lin, you're amazing, I can barely stand it," the young starlet's body trembled slightly as she spoke, evidently already aroused.
Luo Chao rolled his eyes, of course, Director Lin was amazing, using only his hand, naturally for longer, thinking this, Luo Chao felt both disdainful and amused. Lin Jiaming surely couldn't physically engage within the year, yet he pursued starlets, was he really going to use his "divine fingers" to conquer the world?
Not afraid of being exposed by the starlet, Lin Jiaming would certainly be infamous, the rotten could never redeem itself.
Lin Jiaming continued, "I'm even more incredible, you haven't seen it yet."
The young starlet gasped, "Director Lin, when can I be like Li Ruotong, winning best newcor and best leading actress awards, becoming wildly popular."
"Very soon, my new film will cast you as the lead," Lin Jiaming chuckled.
"Great!" The young starlet shouted more vigorously, "Mm, mm!"
"Cough," Li Ruotong's face heated up, unable to listen further, even watching a movie denied quiet, instinctively coughing softly twice.
After all, Luo Chao was right beside her, Li Ruotong's blush deepening, afraid that Luo Chao might see her like this, she sought to stop Lin Jiaming's misconduct.
Hearing this cough, Lin Jiaming thought inwardly, who dared to interfere, turning back, tracing the sound, he saw a young woman, masked tightly, yet her eyes, Lin Jiaming recognized them, furrowing his brow, he whispered, "Li Ruotong!"
