Watching the platforms flash by outside the train carriage, finally so passengers couldn't help but curse out loud.
"What the hell is going on? Adjust operations, adjust operations, damn you, do you really think our ti is worthless?"
"Blue and frustrated! Today was supposed to be fun, but we run into this ss!"
"Damn it, I swear I'll file a complaint about this line. Does anyone know the complaint phone number?"
The passengers were shouting curses, clearly in a very bad mood.
At the front of the carriage, so passengers had even started banging on the subway driver's door, directing verbal threats at the subway driver.
But all of this was to no avail; the subway never slowed down, continuing to speed past one platform after another.
And at this point, Luo Chao already felt that things were going very wrong.
Because he had discovered that the subway's speed was abnormally fast, definitely exceeding 100 kiloters per hour!
For reasons perhaps related to signal loss, the mobile television in the carriage suddenly turned into a black screen.
Even stranger, when passing another platform, Luo Chao noticed it was completely deserted.
No passengers waiting to board, not even the staff responsible for guiding passengers or standing guard!
A fleeting mont of emptiness, yet it brought an expansive emptiness.
Clang, clang——
The train, sped along the tracks.
As the subway train sped past another platform once again, a passenger who had just called 110 to report the incident closed his phone, looking dejected.
"What a joke, the police said it's a system malfunction and told to wait patiently. How long do I have to wait? I have a eting this afternoon!" The passenger complained.
How long is the wait?
No one could provide an answer.
"You are my little apple!"
At that instant, a catchy phone ringtone sounded, but at this mont, no one in the carriage had the mood to enjoy this catchy tune.
A young woman casually took her phone out of her pocket, looked at the caller information, and pressed the answer button.
"Hello? What's up, honey? You never call during work hours!"
"Where am I now? I'm on my way to the mall, you wouldn't believe how annoying this subway is!"
The woman's tone carried a hint of playfulness. In the relatively quiet carriage, her voice was particularly bright and clear, causing everyone, including Luo Chao, to involuntarily turn their heads to watch her act coyly.
"What's the matter, why are you asking where I am so urgently? What? Which line am I on?"
"Why are you asking this instead of helping complain to the subway company? This subway is wasting so much of my ti. I should've t my friend at the mall already!"
"Yes, I'm on line one. What's wrong, honey?"
"Okay, I'm prepared. Go ahead, it's fine, I'm strong."
"Hmm, hmm, hmm, what are you saying? Don't be so nervous, your voice is trembling. I won't spend too much money, so speak calmly, what's up?"
The young woman continued to smile.
Her smile was so calm, so joyful.
She felt no discomfort from the glances directed at her; instead, she quite liked being the center of attention.
But in the next second, her face turned pale!
At that mont, several other passengers' phones started ringing one after another.
Luo Chao also tightly gripped his phone, waiting for the inevitable truth to unfold.
Clang, clang...
The train continued its journey.
Among the clanging noises, suddenly, a smartly dressed young man with slicked-back hair gritted his teeth and rushed to the train door.
He reached out a hand, desperately trying to pry the door open.
He tried several tis, and realizing he couldn't open it with one hand, he placed his briefcase down and started using both hands.
But even using both hands couldn't pried open the train door!
He lifted his bloodshot eyes and looked at the ergency brake handle next to the door. Without thinking, he reached for it!
Pong!
A muffled sound ca as his handso face collided with a fist the size of a sandbag.
Red, sticky nose blood flowed from his nostrils as he lost his balance and stumbled down.
His head accidentally hit the subway seat handle as he fell, and within monts, blood flowed from his forehead, leaving him slumped on the ground.
The owner of the fist was a skinny, black-clothed young man wearing a yellow safety helt, likely a migrant worker.
The young man clenched his fist, gritted his teeth, and glared at the guy he punched, shouting angrily, "Damn it, are you trying to kill us all? Didn't you hear once the train speed drops below 100 kiloters, the bomb will imdiately explode?"
At that mont, the signal to the mobile television in the carriage suddenly returned to normal.
In the news studio, the host spoke with a stern expression, "Good afternoon, viewers in front of your TV! Here is an urgent news broadcast from Huahai News Channel."
"At noon today, the Huahai Daily Building in our city was bombed by terrorists. Before the attack, the terrorists called the police, informing them of the ti and location of the bomb explosion, and monts ago, the police received another bomb threat call from the terrorists."
"The terrorists inford the police that another bomb has been planted on the subway line one train, and instructed that if the train doesn't accelerate to over 100 kiloters per hour within five minutes, the bomb on the train would automatically detonate."
"Currently, a large police force from the Huahai City Police Departnt has been deployed along all station points on this train line, bomb disposal experts have arrived on scene, and residents along the line are urged to cooperate with police for evacuation. The case is under ongoing investigation and resolution."
The passengers in the carriage had already learned of this unfortunate news through calls from family and friends.
They originally held a glimr of hope, thinking such events only happen in movies, how could it happen in real life? It must be soone spreading rumors taking advantage of the subway system malfunction.
But upon receiving the official news broadcast on TV, everyone fell silent.
They quietly waited for rescue…or death!
"This must be a joke, I've seen shows online like this. It's so kind of prank, right? Where are the caras, I see you, co out!" A man holding a phone looked pale and muttered to himself.
However, everyone in the carriage looked at him powerlessly, remaining silent.
The man looked at the platforms whizzing past the windows and then at the driver's door up front, gathered all his strength, and charged forward.
Pong, pong, pong——
He leaned on the door, pounding on it vigorously.
"Hey, you driving, do you think this is funny, playing this prank show? Huh? Let off the train, I…I'm supposed to go on a date later! I spent a lot of effort borrowing this phone to show off! If…if this phone gets blown up, I can't afford to replace it! Hey, open the door!"
However, no matter how he banged on the door or shouted in desperation, no one responded to him.
The man held his phone, eyes wide with despair, staring outside at the platforms flashing by one after another…
