"Alright, alright, I'll talk! For the sake of future happiness! I'll give you, this native creature, a proper lesson!" the mysterious voice replied in exasperation.
Then, it continued, "In this cosmos, each planet and each species has different power level divisions! Only when a species steps out of its ho planet does it truly co into contact with the cosmos."
"And in the cosmos, there are higher levels of power divisions, naly, Star-Destroying Level warriors, Super Star Level warriors, Planet Creation Level warriors, Source Star Level warriors, World King Level warriors, and those above World King Level beco Star Monarchs!"
"Generally speaking, once becoming a Planet Creation Level warrior, one can use the Cosmic Cube to create their own planet."
"As the species on the planet grow, the Planet Creation Level warrior becos akin to a god in those planetary worlds. They can absorb the Power of Faith from their kin to enhance their powers and reach even higher levels!"
"Power of Faith? What is that?" Luo Chao asked.
"It's a stream of energy gathered from the spiritual power of creatures. Most strong beings in the cosmos elevate their power through the Power of Faith in conjunction with their own cultivation and various fortuitous encounters," the mysterious voice explained.
"So, you're saying Earth was created by a Planet Creation Level warrior?" Luo Chao said in surprise.
"Not necessarily. Planet Creation Level is just one basic condition for creating a planet. There are many ways a planet can be born, both artificial and natural. In short, there are many thods that can form a planet," the mysterious voice said.
"Then what do you have to do with the Cosmic Cube discovered on this Earth? What exactly are you?" Luo Chao continued to ask.
"I am neither a creature nor energy. To tell the truth, I really don't know what I am. All I know is that the only way to maintain my existence is to devour fear!"
"Only by devouring the fear of various creatures can I awaken my consciousness. Otherwise, I will remain in a deep slumber, which is why so entities in the cosmos call the Source of Fear!"
"As for your question about my connection with the Cosmic Cube, I'm afraid I can't answer that. Ever since I awoke, I've found myself bound to this Cosmic Cube. As to why, I do not know either."
Upon hearing this, Luo Chao couldn't help but continue his inquiry, "So those dark red stripes on the cube were created by you?"
"That's right! That's the embodint of my spiritual energy. Originally, the solidified form of my spiritual energy could envelop several star systems! But when I woke up one day, I found myself so weakened that I had to tightly wrap around the Cosmic Cube to survive," the Source of Fear said lancholically.
"Yesterday, you said that if I could let you devour fear, you could give great power, right?" Luo Chao asked.
"Correct. The more I devour, the stronger I beco," the Source of Fear asserted confidently.
"So, being such a powerful entity, why do you need to rely on ? Can't you go out and find your own sustenance?" Luo Chao asked curiously.
"After so many years of slumber, the fear stored within is almost depleted, and compared to before my slumber, my strength has diminished significantly."
"And I do not have a physical body. If it weren't for the abundant fear stored within and the energy absorbed from the Cube due to being bound to it, I would have lost my consciousness long ago. Unless the surrounding planets produce a large amount of fear, I will remain in eternal slumber!"
"Now, I can only rely on you, using your strength to provide with fear, because you are the only entity I have discovered on Earth after all these years with whom I can communicate!" the Source of Fear explained.
"Stop calling 'creature'. My species is called human, rember that!" Luo Chao replied irritably, then continued asking, "So if I provide you with fear, what do you offer ?"
"Hehehehehe, like we agreed before, I will give you power! Trendous power! Of course, it's just a small portion of all my strength, but for you, I think it will be more than sufficient!" the Source of Fear chuckled sinisterly.
"Alright then, we have a deal. Don't you back out," Luo Chao said.
"Hehehehehe, I'm more afraid you'll back out," the Source of Fear continued to laugh sinisterly.
Then, Luo Chao asked, "So how exactly can I get you to devour fear?"
The Source of Fear answered, "Fear is an incredibly natural emotion possessed by creatures, and what you call fear can be divided into two categories: the fear born from an organism's instincts and the logical fear derived from rational thought."
"In other words, when encountering a more powerful entity and realizing one does not have the capability to resist it, and when facing the unknown, the re unknown can evoke fear."
"Faced with fear, creatures have multiple choices: struggle, resist, flee, or accept... but ultimately, they cannot escape the fate of death!"
"Therefore, the most direct and effective thod of generating fear is, of course, one word—kill."
"I give you energy, and you wipe out all the creatures on your planet, then go on to massacre those on the surrounding planets, even galaxies. During this process, I will be able to absorb those fearful, trembling souls! Hahahaha!"
The Source of Fear said this, then burst into joyous laughter, seemingly devoid of any guilt or sympathy for such a frenzy of killing.
"That is absolutely impossible! How could I possibly slaughter all of humanity? Firstly, I am human myself. Secondly, there are so many humans on Earth. What did they ever do to provoke you? How can there be no guilt in you when it cos to such widespread massacre?" Luo Chao answered.
"Guilt? What is that? I am not a creature, so I have no emotions whatsoever. Simply put, I act purely according to my instincts," the Source of Fear replied disdainfully.
"So, you say fear is generated through slaughter. How about this, I'll choose the targets for the slaughter, and you handle absorbing and providing with energy, how about that?" Luo Chao tentatively suggested.
"Hehehehehe, I knew deep down you were also a bloodthirsty demon!" the Source of Fear laughed sinisterly once more.
"Bloodthirsty? No, I am just doing the right thing. As long as I'm on the opposite side of evil, any ans used to eliminate evil... isn't that justice?" As he spoke, a resolute gleam appeared in Luo Chao's eyes.
