The next day, following Lanya's instructions, Luo Chao drove straight to a luxury residential district in the city after work and arrived at the tallest building in the neighborhood, taking the elevator to the 32nd floor.
"Ding dong," Luo Chao pressed the doorbell in front of a security door. Inside, the sound of slippers shuffled across the floor a few tis, and the door creaked open.
At that mont, the door was opened by an absolutely beautiful young woman. She was wearing a fitted purple one-piece long dress, a white belt around her waist accentuating her slender figure, her eyebrows exquisite like distant mountains, and her eyes as clear as autumn water, as though she had stepped out of a painting. This stunning young woman was Lanya, Luo Chao's direct superior!
Lanya hadn't co to work today. As a student with academic responsibilities, she usually worked at the company when she didn't have classes.
Lanya pouted, "Why are you so late?"
"Traffic jam," Luo Chao explained. Every afternoon during rush hour, getting stuck in traffic was the norm.

Luo Chao changed into slippers and walked into the house. The interior was simply decorated, with walls painted in white latex paint instead of luxurious decorations, and the floor was a standard black and white tiled pattern. The furniture and appliances were mid-range, yet a refreshing, simple, and holy vibe perated the place.
At this mont, a man's deep voice sounded from the study: "Xiaoya, who has co?"
Lanya replied, "Dad, it's the doctor I invited to see you."
"Alright, let him co over," Lanya's father nodded, saying.
Lanya pushed open the study door and led Luo Chao inside. Her father was sitting at the desk reading. Luo Chao glanced at him — a tall and upright man with a square face, wearing black-frad glasses, giving off a very stern impression, sowhat like an authoritative figure.
Luo Chao felt as though he'd seen him sowhere before, and his heart skipped a beat. Though he didn't watch much TV, he occasionally caught the news and suddenly realized that this middle-aged man was indeed Lan Guoming, the Secretary of Jiangning City, the top official there!
At this mont, Luo Chao was a bit dumbfounded. The campus beauty turned out to be the daughter of the city's party secretary! No wonder Wu Haomin was so persistent with her pursuit yet never dared to use force, as she had such a powerful father.
This campus beauty was not only a super rich and beautiful girl but also an impressive second-generation official.
"Is he the so-called Divine Doctor you ntioned?" Lan Guoming eyed Luo Chao from head to toe — a young man around twenty — how could he possess such abilities? The notion of him being a Divine Doctor was laughable.
Divine Doctor? Upon hearing these words, Luo Chao was dizzy. He had no idea why Lanya would randomly make such claims, even using the term Divine Doctor.
Lanya nodded, "Yes, Dad, that's him. He's really skilled."
Lan Guoming felt puzzled. His ordinarily smart daughter seed so clueless today, clearly beguiled by this self-proclaid Divine Doctor!
"Young man, do you have a dical license?" Lan Guoming stared directly at Luo Chao.
Luo Chao replied frankly, "No."
Lan Guoming let out a light scoff: "Young man, you're still young. I advise you not to engage in petty theft, deception, and fraud. Find sothing respectable to do."
"Dad, he's not like that," Lanya protested anxiously.
"Show him out!"
Luo Chao chuckled but didn't say much.
"What's so funny," Lan Guoming frowned.
"Who said that without a dical license, one can't treat patients? Who stipulated that without a license, soone is a fraud?" Luo Chao shook his head. "Without even the most basic trust, it's better not to treat this illness at all!"
With that, Luo Chao turned to leave, but Lanya swiftly grabbed him, pleading with her father, "Dad, even if you don't trust him, you should at least trust your daughter. If your condition isn't treated, it'll only worsen."
Lan Guoming hadn't expected Luo Chao to righteously decide to leave, which surprised him. After a mont of astonishnt, he seriously said, "Alright, then tell , what illness do I have!"
Luo Chao glanced at him carefully and began eloquently, "Secretary Lan, your lips are purple, and your throat shows signs of congestion. It appears to be ordinary asthma, but it hasn't healed over ti. After years of suffering, the coughing is getting worse and, even with injections, it only gets better for a day or two before relapsing. This illness cannot be delayed any longer."
The entire study fell silent. Lanya was sowhat expecting Luo Chao to cure with traditional dicine but didn't expect his dical skills to be so exquisite. Lan Guoming conceded, "You've nailed everything. I do have asthma, and the coughing is growing worse. With my busy schedule, I genuinely don't have the ti to get injections every day."
Luo Chao smiled, "Secretary Lan, if I may, even a lifeti of injections won't cure your illness. Injections only treat the symptoms, not the root cause."
"Then how should I treat it?" Lan Guoming asked, but then clasped his chest and began to cough violently, the dreadful sound resonating. Secretary Lan's painful expression was as if he was about to cough up blood, and it wouldn't stop.
Lanya saw this and quickly said, "I'll fetch the dicine."
Luo Chao stopped her, "No need, I'll handle it."
