Luo Chao said to the stunned Leopard, "Let's go!"
Leopard finally ca to his senses and nodded repeatedly, "Mm, okay!"
"You drive," Luo Chao said, and Leopard quickly got into the driver's seat. He knew he'd never forget what happened tonight; it was etched in his mory.
Looking at Luo Chao with a changed gaze, a deep feeling of respect and admiration filled him. Leopard was glad he chose the right side, establishing good terms with Luo Chao instead of coming into conflict with him.
As for how strong Luo Chao truly was, Leopard still couldn't grasp it. He was like a god; catching bullets with his fingers mid-air. Just thinking about it made Leopard's blood boil—such scenes happened only in novels and TV dramas, yet it beca real!
"Luo, are we just letting Li Yunfeng go like that?" Leopard asked cautiously.
Luo Chao lit a cigarette, took a light puff, and said indifferently, "I've already taught him a lesson."
"Mm, okay," Leopard couldn't discern anything further, feeling curious but not daring to ask, quickly driving away, leaving behind the four black-clad n and Li Yunfeng lying on the ground.
Leopard dropped Luo Chao off at the entrance of Golden Ding District. Luo Chao didn't imdiately get out of the car; he said, "Leopard, use your resources to help find the hideout of the Golden Dragon Gang leader."
The Golden Dragon Gang leader! Leopard's heart skipped a beat, and he whispered, "Luo, do you want to deal with the Golden Dragon?"
Luo Chao nodded, "Yes, use your connections to find the Golden Dragon quickly!"
The leader of the Golden Dragon Gang was indeed called Golden Dragon. He founded the gang himself, and in his youth, driven by a fierce determination, he made the Golden Dragon Gang one of the top gangs in Jiangning City. Even though Golden Dragon had aged, he never intended to do any legitimate business, always engaging in illegal activities.
"Okay, I'll get right on it!" Leopard vowed earnestly.
Luo Chao got out of the car, and as Leopard watched his back, he knew the Golden Dragon Gang was in for it!
At three in the morning, the criminal police team received a report and rushed to the forest path beneath Nine-Ring Mountain. There were no signs of a struggle, but Zhang Yufei and Huang Zhao were looking at an astonishing and laughable scene before them.
"Little second brother, carrying a backpack to school..." Five people were on the path, joyfully singing children's songs while jumping around.
"One of them is Director Li's son, Li Yunfeng," Huang Zhao gasped.
Zhang Yufei nodded, "Call Director Li and let him know."
Huang Zhao's lips twitched twice, thinking about what expression the director would have seeing his son gone mad.
"Captain, maybe you should make the call," Huang Zhao said, a little fearful. After all, it was the director, and he didn't want to get scolded.
Zhang Yufei frowned, "I told you to do it, so do it!"
Having no choice, Huang Zhao dialed Li Tanghai, who was basking in a mistress's tender embrace. Awakened by the call, he jumped out of bed in a rage, dressed quickly, and dashed out before the mistress could ask what was happening.
"Restrain all five of them and check the scene," Zhang Yufei instructed the team mbers.
Li Yunfeng and the four black-clad n had completely lost their minds, singing and dancing non-stop. The team mbers had no choice but to tie their hands and feet with ropes and then called 120. After going to the hospital, they awaited the test results to figure out why these five people went mad for no reason.
Zhang Yufei and Huang Zhao inspected the scene, their gaze landing simultaneously on an intact bullet on the ground. Zhang Yufei bent down to pick it up; after comparing, they found it matched one of five handguns. A bullet shot from the magazine remained intact!
The criminal police team mbers gathered around, and given it was past three in the morning, the eerie forest scene made their skin crawl. One timid mber shivered, "Could it be haunted?"
Upon hearing this, fear showed on the officers' faces. Zhang Yufei scolded, "Stop spreading panic! What era do you think this is?"
Noticing Huang Zhao in contemplation, Zhang Yufei asked, "Huang Zhao, have you figured anything out?"
Huang Zhao mumbled, "The four black-clad individuals aren't good people; they should belong to a gang. Li Yunfeng likely hired them. With two cars here, he must have planned to ambush soone. That person, however, used so unknown ans to drive Li Yunfeng and the other four mad."
"And this bullet must have been manipulated," Huang Zhao analyzed every word of the case's origin.
What does "manipulated" an? Everyone understood it, proving soone seemingly caught a bullet mid-air fired from a gun.
Thinking this through, everyone felt chills. To catch a bullet and leave it intact—such a person possesses an extraordinary skill!
"I believe this matter is beyond our departnt's capability," Zhang Yufei said seriously.
Huang Zhao nodded, realizing soone with such terrifying power was beyond ordinary police capacity and needed provincial-level authorities to manage.
"Captain, let's talk aside," Huang Zhao pulled Zhang Yufei aside, speaking quietly, "Who do you think could have done this?"
Zhang Yufei spoke seriously, "You've already thought of it yourself; why ask ?"
Huang Zhao awkwardly laughed, "I'm just suspicious. Luo Chao is quite skilled, but catching bullets by hand sounds too exaggerated."
In short, the case was bizarre, and no evidence at the scene pointed to the perpetrator. Li Yunfeng and the others were irreversibly mad, so investigating felt futile.
"Yunfeng, Yunfeng, what's happened to you!" Li Tanghai had arrived and shouted at seeing his beloved son gone mad.
The 120 ergency vehicle took Li Yunfeng away, leaving Li Tanghai tear-streaked and sorrowful, appearing years older. His brows furrowed with murderous rage, he asked, "Who did it? Have you found out?"
"Not yet," Huang Zhao knew Director Li was on the verge of breakdown, responding timidly, "This case is peculiar, finding the culprit isn't a day's work."
Upon hearing this, Li Tanghai yelled, "Useless, all of you are useless!"
Zhang Yufei sneered, "Director Li, I understand your feelings, but don't vent your anger on us. Reflect on your son too, as the initiator of this case is still your son."
