The clothes in the ward were probably already thrown away by them, so Luo Chao didn't bother to look for them. He just closed the door and went to the first floor to settle the bill and get discharged.
After exchanging a glance, the middle-aged man said coldly, "I just accidentally tripped while walking, and he said I'm going to die. He better not let see him again, or I'll definitely find soone to break his legs."
"Exactly," the middle-aged woman snorted, then sweetly said, "Honey, how did you suddenly trip and break your hand?"
"How did I fall?" It was the first ti soone asked this after the injury, and the middle-aged man's face stiffened. Of course, he knew why he fell—it was as if his legs went weak, not because soone bumped him, or he tripped over sothing.
Sweat broke out on the middle-aged man's forehead, and he rushed out of the ward to find his attending doctor: "Doctor, I'd like to get a brain MRI."
The attending doctor was puzzled and asked, "You just have an external injury, you didn't hit your head."
The middle-aged man insisted, "I just want one, just as a physical check-up. Please write a referral."
The attending doctor hesitated for a mont, thinking that since the man had more money than he could spend, getting an MRI was no big deal. He nodded and promptly wrote the MRI referral.
Half an hour later, the middle-aged man, accompanied by his wife, returned to the attending doctor's office and handed over the MRI results.
"Hmm, let's have a look," the attending doctor initially intended to just glance at it, since the probability of a brain issue was infinitesimal. This wealthy businessman probably had a nightmare last night.
However, with just one look, the attending doctor's eyes froze. Shocked, he stared at the MRI images, his palms slightly trembling, and stamred, "How did you discover your brain had an issue?"
"What!" The middle-aged man's legs went weak, and if his wife hadn't been supporting him, he would have collapsed already. The middle-aged woman anxiously said, "Doctor, please explain."
The attending doctor nodded: "You have a tumor in your brain. Although it's not malignant, it's pressing against a nerve and cannot be operated on. Only conservative treatnt is possible. This tumor may be why you suddenly felt weakness in your legs and fell."
"Can conservative treatnt cure it?" The middle-aged man's heart sank, the fear of death making him feel like the sky was falling.
The attending doctor sighed: "You can live at most another six months."
"I don't believe it," the middle-aged woman's eyes welled with tears, and she turned to her husband: "Daming, let's find a better hospital and see a neurology professor."
"Madam Li," the attending doctor said, "Even though I'm a surgeon, I've seen at least ten cases of this in the hospital. Even seeking famous doctors worldwide won't change the result. The tumor pressing on the nerve cannot be cured, even by an Immortal descending."
Li Daming fell to the ground, crying with tears and mucus all over his face, "How could this happen, how could this happen, I don't want to die."
His wife joined him, wailing, but suddenly, she rembered soone. She quickly wiped away her tears: "Husband, maybe that young man from before can save you."
"Yes, yes, he spotted my illness, he must be a Divine Doctor," Li Daming stood up with a glimr of hope.
Divine Doctor? The attending doctor was taken aback: "You're saying soone noticed your illness, and it wasn't you who discovered it?"
Li Daming nodded: "Yes, a young man told I wouldn't live long and suggested a brain MRI to find out why I'm dying."
The attending doctor was so shocked he couldn't speak. Just by looking at soone and being able to tell Li Daming was terminally ill—that's incredible!
"No more talking, I'm going to find him. Maybe only he can save ," Li Daming said and rushed out in a hurry. Since there were people in the elevator, he took the stairs instead.
After running around, Li Daming made it from the 8th floor to the 1st floor, panting, with his wife and the attending doctor following behind.
The attending doctor was eager to see the "Divine Doctor," curious if he really was that perceptive without any diagnostic equipnt.
Li Daming looked around and saw Luo Chao about to leave at the hospital's main entrance. He quickly rushed over and shouted, "Divine Doctor, please save ."
The attending doctor saw Luo Chao, a young man with copper-toned skin, an upright posture, very sunny looking, seemingly only in his early 20s. Divine Doctor? Must be mistaken, but seeing Li Daming nearly kneeling before him, it couldn't be wrong.
Luo Chao had just finished the discharge procedures and was ready to go ho when he saw the arrogant middle-aged man from before running over. Luo Chao coolly said, "We aren't related, why should I save you?"
"I know, I shouldn't have taken over your ward, it's my fault, I'm despicable," Li Daming said, slapping himself.
Li Daming went to the surgical in-patient departnt but found all beds occupied. The nurse had to temporarily make a bed for him in the corridor. But he, feeling superior, wouldn't sleep in the corridor. Seeing Luo Chao's VIP ward door unlocked, he took it over, thinking if the patient returned, he'd just pay him off.
"Dad, what are you doing!" an angry voice ca, and a plump woman rushed over, grabbing her father's hand and said sternly.
Li Daming said, "Daughter, your father is dying, and I'm begging soone to cure ."
The plump woman's shoulders shook violently: "How is that possible? You were fine, just broke your hand. How could you be dying?"
"It's true, this Divine Doctor saw my illness," Li Daming said, wiping his tears.
The plump woman glanced at Luo Chao, eyes wide open, "It's you!"
This plump woman was, of course, recognizable to Luo Chao. Should he say she was Xie Yong's ex-girlfriend? Li Na. What a coincidence!
Li Na angrily said, "Dad, he's no Divine Doctor, don't listen to him. He's just a gigolo kept by soone else. You're not sick at all."
Gigolo? Everyone's gaze was bewildered, and the crowd watching out of curiosity showed disdainful looks. No wonder, being so young, how could he be a Divine Doctor? He was surely abandoned by his benefactor and started peddling trickery.
"Ungrateful daughter, if you want your dad to die, I'm not stopping you. Goodbye," Luo Chao waved and strode away.
