"My office is right across from yours," Leopard pointed to an office across the way. The naplate read Vice General Manager's Office. As he looked at his own office, Leopard felt a bit dizzy. He never dread he'd beco a vice general manager of a company. The feeling of security and achievent was truly wonderful.
For a mont, Leopard felt as if he was drunk, sowhat lost in a dream.
Luo Chao looked at his half-drunk appearance and couldn't resist slapping him on the head: "Look at how smug you are. Are you that satisfied being a vice manager of a small company?"
"Of course not satisfied. Once the company makes money, we aim to open an even bigger company and earn even more," Leopard declared confidently.
"You've got ambition," Luo Chao patted him on the shoulder, then opened the door to his general manager's office and walked inside. It was the largest office in the company, with a long and wide rosewood desk, exuding a refreshing sandalwood scent, and a luxurious genuine leather swivel chair.
Even as a special forces soldier, Luo Chao was a commoner. Sitting on the leather swivel chair felt quite luxurious and comfortable. On the desk were a computer, printer, and a gold dragon ornant, making the atmosphere seem grand.
Watching Luo Chao's relaxed deanor, Leopard secretly laughed; even Lu Shao is human. Everyone has a bit of vanity.
At the other end of the office was a square sofa with a coffee table, and adjacent to it was a resting room with a large Simmons bed, perfect for resting on after tiring work — truly fully equipped.
"This must have cost a lot," Luo Chao estimated.
Leopard thought for a mont and said, "Registering the company cost 8 million, the office renovation cost 1 million, and another 1 million is for market expansion and paying the employees' salaries for the first few months."
"Hmm, go on and get busy," said Luo Chao. "Co back to my office after work; I need to write up a training plan for the security personnel for you."
"Alright," said Leopard, who had many things to handle, eagerly leaving the office, wondering what surprise Lu Shao had for him, filled with anticipation.
After Leopard left, Luo Chao pulled a few sheets of white paper from the printer, picked up a black center pen, and began to write swiftly. As he wrote and thought, the outside sky gradually darkened.
Luo Chao realized that it was past 7 o'clock; he had lost track of ti. He called Leopard, but as soon as the call rang, the phone was imdiately hung up, and the door creaked open as Leopard walked in, grinning: "Lu Shao, did you finish writing?"
"Yeah, take a look," Luo Chao handed the written pages to him.
Leopard carefully read through, his eyes widening in shock. It was a bodyguard training plan for only one month, with schedules practically filled 24 hours a day. Each person was allowed only 4 hours of sleep per day, training from six in the morning until two the next morning. Such a training thod could be considered a "devil training camp." Besides physical training, bodyguard training required psychological endurance, crucial to developing well-rounded, formidable bodyguards.
"Lu Shao, this is a bit too hard," Leopard said with a bitter face.
Luo Chao smacked his lips and said, "This is a survival of the fittest society. Only this way can we train security company elites. If they can't endure one month of training, then let's give them so settlent money and let them go ho. Only such guards will be up for any job, not just a gatekeeper. Got it?"
Leopard thought for a mont and nodded: "Okay, Lu Shao, I'll listen to you. I don't want to blacken things anymore. For those who pass, I'll keep them in the company and pay them well. Those who don't, we'll send ho."
"Then it's settled," Luo Chao yawned. Writing the training plan all afternoon was quite tiring. Being a company leader was no easy task either.
In Leopard's heart, Luo Chao was like a god, and he trusted his words completely. Seeing the increasingly detailed training Law and thods, Leopard admired Luo Chao even more. Just this plan alone was invaluable!
Leopard said, "Lu Shao, how about we grab a al together?"
"Yeah, I'm pretty hungry," Luo Chao was about to stand up when his phone suddenly beeped twice with a ssage.
"Luo Chao, co save , I'm in room 605 of the Rizhao Hotel!"
When Luo Chao saw the text ssage from Li Ruotong, his heart skipped a beat, and he dashed out of the office. By now, the office was in pitch-black darkness; all the employees had already left for the day.
Leopard stared blankly as Lu Shao rushed out like a whirlwind, too stunned to react. What had happened?
Luo Chao drove rapidly, reaching the Rizhao Hotel in 10 minutes, and quickly took the elevator to the sixth floor. Just as he was about to kick open the door to room 605, the door suddenly opened, and a soft body fell into his arms.
Slling the familiar scent, Luo Chao was dumbfounded. He then realized that Li Ruotong had played a huge prank on him. Anger flared within him!
Mindful of the caras in the corridor, Luo Chao didn't want the celebrity Li Ruotong to be captured on cara, so he pushed her into the room, slamming the door shut.
The thunderous sound of the door shutting terrified Li Ruotong, proving that Luo Chao was very angry, with potentially severe consequences. Luo Chao slumped onto the sofa, his face darkening: "Do you think this is funny?"
Li Ruotong lowered her head, looking pitiful like a wife, with tears welling up uncontrollably, choking and unable to speak: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
As a glamorous and sparkling superstar, she'd never cried so sorrowfully. Luo Chao felt uncomfortable in his heart; hearing her repeated apologies extinguished most of his anger. He understood why Li Ruotong had tricked him into coming. He hadn't been taking her calls, nor responding to her ssages for the past few days.
Ever since filming the comrcial at Tengyue Building, Luo Chao deliberately distanced himself from her. Not because he disliked her, but because she had witnessed a very "bloody" side of himself; he did not want to get involved with her any further.
She, an international superstar in the spotlight, portrayed as a pure and lovely goddess, whereas Luo Chao erged from a world of life and death, appearing so "brutal and unworthy" in comparison.
