Lin Bai’s choice to separate himself from the Seventy-two Sword Cultivators of Xian Dong Mountain was simply to avoid dragging them into trouble. Should the Seven Major Sects hold grudges and seek retaliation, he wished no harm to co their way.
Thus, traveling separately was the wisest choice.
Three days later, Lin Bai arrived at the borders of the Nan Chu Dynasty, riding his sword.

Lin Bai looked ahead, and imdiately the flas from the Cloud Skies coalesced, taking the shape of a bald man in black robes. His eyes glinted with icy malice, and a mocking smile played on his lips as he stared at Lin Bai!
“May I ask who you are? Why do you block my path?” Lin Bai asked coldly.
The black-cloaked bald man laughed coldly and said, “It matters not who I am. All you need to know is that it is inevitable for you to die today.”
