Amadeus Yancey watched the girl’s retreating figure leave, casually tossed away the Pai Gow Poker in his hand, held the nicotine inhaler between his lips, turned his head, and said nonchalantly to the table, "You guys play."
He waved at Sadam Vinson with his attention-grabbing brows raised arrogantly, yet with a carefree air, "Co over and help out with a round."
Sadam Vinson reluctantly stood up but still made his way over to Amadeus, "I co here to play gas, and you make play cards. What’s so fun about that."
Amadeus Yancey didn’t respond to his complaint, gave up his seat to him, and then strode past everyone, following Nathalie Quinlan out the door.

Outside the corridor of Rivendell, Nathalie Quinlan ca out to get so fresh air and leaned against the wall, casually playing with her phone.
She just played a five-person team ga with Sadam and the others for two hours, the phone was slightly warm, but it didn’t use much battery.
Compared with Sadam and the rest, her phone’s battery seed to last especially long.
The visitors to Rivendell were all either rich or noble, part of Beijing’s upper circle; their clothing is generally not ordinary. In such a setting, the girl stood out in her straightforward white T-shirt paired with jeans and canvas shoes underfoot.
However, Nathalie Quinlan, wearing a duckbill cap, was looking down at her phone, almost completely covering her chin.
Her stance was sowhat ruffian-like, with long legs propped against the wall, her whole deanor casual. Her fair hands, like White Jade, rested on her phone, and the phone’s soft light illuminated her cap’s brim.
Nathalie opened WhatsApp.
Besides the ssages a few people from her senior year class A sent her.
Audrick Zachmann finally replied to her ssage.
[All good.]
The ssage was from 5 minutes ago, around the ti Nathalie had just co out of the private room.
Nathalie’s fingers tapping on the phone tightened slightly, her dark eyes appeared contemplative as she scrolled up through the chat ssages.
The last ssage was sent by her.
Two hours ago.
She asked Audrick what he was doing and if he ran into any trouble.
It took almost two hours for Audrick to reply to her, with an extrely simple and even hasty response, as if he had hurriedly found ti to reply upon receiving her ssage, not even having the ti to type a couple more words.
Nathalie half-squinted her eyes, looked slightly irritated, and pulled up Stanley Zachmann’s WhatsApp avatar. Four days passed and still no new ssages. She pursed her lips, then sent another ssage to Audrick.
[Nathalie: Where are you?]
The ssage was sent instantly.
There was no response from Audrick; it was as if he hadn’t seen it.
Nathalie was quite patient, not rushing back inside, flipping through other ssages while waiting for a reply from Audrick.
She thought that since Audrick had taken two hours to reply to her last ssage, she might need to wait an hour or two, but this ti Audrick replied very promptly.
Ding.
Nathalie saw the notification from Audrick, her shoulders relaxed, she leaned against the wall, tilting her head, and slowly opened it.
The ssage still bore the style of the previous one, indicating his haste.
[In Hestinn. Didn’t I tell you I was going to record a variety show? These past few days I’ve been busy with that.]
Before Nathalie could reply to him.
Audrick shows he’s typing another ssage.
Shortly after, a new ssage arrives.
[Nathalie, I won’t talk with you any longer now, the director’s calling . I likely won’t have ti to text you these next days, we have to hand in our phones for the show’s recording, I’ll talk to you when I’m back.]
After this ssage, there was no further activity from Audrick again, as if to confirm what he said about having his phone confiscated for the recording of the show.
Nathalie’s eyes dimd slightly, the halfway typed ssage wasn’t sent; slowly, she deleted it one by one, her lips pursed, lost in thought.
