The girl sat boldly on the chair, leaning back against the padauk backrest, her posture casual. She lowered her gaze to look at her phone. Looking closer, her features were even more delicate and striking, rivaling those of female stars on TV in beauty.
She didn’t dress up much, favoring a comfortable style. The blue-and-white striped cotton shirt she wore added a touch of cold distance to her appearance.
Tiffany Olsen snapped back to her senses, but her nervousness still caused her back to tense up, and a thin layer of sweat ford on her palms.

She kicked off the self-introductions, and the others looked at each other nervously, each taking their turn to introduce themselves.
"Arthur Eden, from Kingsbury Foreign Language School. Nice to et everyone."
Nathalie Quinlan looked up to see the boy who had just spoken rubbing the back of his head, clearly feeling a little self-conscious.
Beside him stood another boy, who seed extrely low-key.
"Ezra Hoffman, a local from Beijing."
Afterward, the others introduced themselves one by one. The girl next to Tiffany hesitated briefly before speaking in a cool tone, "I’m Velnisa Irvin."
She didn’t ntion her school or hotown.
As introductions went around the room, all eyes eventually landed on Nathalie, the only one who hadn’t spoken yet.
With several pairs of eyes fixed squarely on her, Nathalie felt a headache coming on. She shifted slightly, adjusted her arm’s position, tilted her head, and propped her face on her hand. She didn’t quite understand these childish greeting rituals but, being good-tempered, she spoke up. "Nathalie Quinlan, No. 1 Middle School in McKinney."

This phrase was iconic among this year’s senior class. The na of the top scholar in the national college entrance examination and her school.
The few people in the room began to feel uneasy.
At first, when they overheard the manager of the Sea View Pavilion addressing her as Ms. Quinlan, they had vaguely speculated about her identity but weren’t completely sure.
After all, anyone would imagine a top scholar to be soone wearing thick glasses and radiating an understated and introverted vibe.
But Nathalie... As they glanced toward the overly beautiful girl in the corner, they found it difficult to connect her to the title of top scholar.
Only Tiffany Olsen seed genuinely excited. Confirming her guess, her eyes lit up, and she nearly let out an enthusiastic exclamation.
