Now reading: Chapter 1149: Since We’re Splitting the Family, Let’s Do It from The Unveiling of Secret Queen, a Romance novel by Brother Ling.

Actually, it’s no different from before.

But seeing that Caryn Zachmann seed to have sothing to say, he hesitated for a mont and didn’t stop her.

With no one stopping her, Caryn Zachmann spoke bluntly: "Grandfather, since you’ve said this is about dividing the family assets and fairly distributing the inheritance, I rember my dad once gave Nathalie Quinlan a card. Shouldn’t the two million in that card also be included for division?"

Two million is really pitifully little when it cos to a family like the Zachmann Family.

Yet she deliberately brought it up to make a fuss.

The disdain in her eyes and brows couldn’t be more explicit, practically screaming ’penniless opportunist.’

Mr. Zachmann almost lost his breath, nearly fainting in a fit of anger. He hadn’t expected Caryn to disregard family bonds and ties of blood so blatantly, calculating money down to the cent.

Dividing assets? This was more like severing all ties!

Celine Tucker happened to laugh at this mont, gracefully adjusting the shawl on her shoulders, her lips curling in a smile as she added: "Exactly, Dad. Since we’re dividing the assets, we should make things extra clear, just as you said—so the two families won’t end up arguing later."

Stanley Zachmann felt a chill in his heart.

He was just about to say he’d pay that money himself.

But the girl already spoke before he could: "You’re talking about the two million, right?"

Caryn Zachmann looked at her pretentious manner with eyes full of disdain and ridicule: "That’s right. Didn’t my dad give you a Citibank gold card? You’ve probably spent all the money in it, haven’t you?"

"Sure, the money was a gift from my dad when you first t. But since we’re dividing the family now, two million isn’t a small figure. If it’s going to be split, let’s divide it cleanly. I’m doing this for everyone’s benefit—you don’t have a problem with that, right?"

When Mr. Zachmann was dividing the family assets, he hadn’t even brought up the company dividends from all these years, which were easily far more than the two million they were now asking from Nathalie Quinlan.

Yet Caryn and the others still had the audacity to chew over those two million.

With a cold smile, Nathalie Quinlan—without waiting for Stanley to step in and shield her—reached into her inconspicuous bag and casually tossed a card onto the table.

"Password is six sixes. Two million, right? Go ahead and withdraw it at the bank; no need to split anything."

Caryn Zachmann’s eyes widened as she focused on the card Nathalie had carelessly thrown onto the table—it turned out to be a limited-edition black card from Citibank.

It was several ranks above the gold card she had been boasting about.

Her face darkened, clearly embarrassed.

After tossing the card nonchalantly, Nathalie Quinlan grinned wryly, arrogant and sharp. Her eyes narrowed, carrying an untad wildness ready to explode at any mont, though it remained restrained for now.

"Now that everything’s cleared up, isn’t it ti for my turn?"

"What do you want to do?" Caryn Zachmann could no longer force a smile, her face taut with irritation.

Nathalie Quinlan ignored her entirely, directing her gaze instead to the speechless Celine Tucker. She strode over, her imposing presence completely overwhelming the other woman: "I don’t care about how the inheritance is divided. I’ve never been after the Zachmann Family’s money. I just have one demand—for you to apologize to my dad, as you said you would."

Celine Tucker hadn’t expected Nathalie Quinlan to bring this issue up again. Her face turned pale as fury and panic overtook her, her trembling fingers betraying her emotions.

Nathalie showed no intention of sparing her, her stunning ebony eyes filled with chilling depth: "Apologize to my dad. If you do, for the sake of Mr. Zachmann, I’ll let today’s matter slide. Otherwise..."

"Hmph, otherwise what do you plan to do?" Celine Tucker still stubbornly clung to a defiant attitude.

Nathalie Quinlan chuckled as she looked at her, languidly, without answer. Instead, she coolly replied: "Guess what I’ll do."

The Zachmann Family’s money ant absolutely nothing to her. Caryn’s petty sches had never bothered her in the slightest. But today, Celine Tucker absolutely had to apologize to Stanley Zachmann!
