Amadeus Yancey appeared indifferent, suddenly saying, as he glanced at the shops passing by through the car window, "Stop the car."
Alfred Garland made a sharp brake to bring the car to a stop.
"Amadeus?"
Without saying much, Amadeus Yancey glanced at the backseat where a lethargic-looking girl was playing with her phone, her head down, and unbuckled his seatbelt.
He casually opened the car door and got out.
After a short while, Alfred Garland saw him return with two cups of milk tea.
Opening the back car door, he handed over the bag he was holding: "Stop playing with your phone, have sothing sweet."
"Huh?"
Nathalie Quinlan was ssaging with Jhovany Sullivan and his group.
Jhovany’s group had arrived in Beijing, asking if she was free to hang out after registering tomorrow.
She had just bubbled up in the group.
Turning her head, she saw the drink handed in front of her, silently reaching out to take it and pulling out a cup of milk tea from the bag.
The familiar packaging.
It was her favorite iced aloe vera.
She’s always loved this iced drink, not overly sweet, not well-known, a cup priced quite cheaply, the sales quite average.
But it fit her taste perfectly.
Not overly sweet, paired with ice cubes, the coolness made the bit of sweetness just right.
She would buy it whenever she had the ti.
But most of the ti she was busy.
Amadeus Yancey rembered her favorite choice after buying it once, often ordering it for her afterward, always getting this particular one.
Nathalie Quinlan peeled off the straw’s packaging, inserted it into the drink, and took a sip; it was icy and refreshing, just as good as she expected.
Seeing another drink in the bag, she looked up and asked him, "There’s another cup, aren’t you drinking?"
Seeing her mood improved a bit, Amadeus Yancey slightly lifted his lips, raised his hand, pressed down on the hat atop her head, withdrew his hand, and smiled: "I’m not drinking, you have it."
"Bought two especially for you. You can drink another later tonight."
Upon hearing his words, Nathalie Quinlan pursed her lips; the drink in her hand was a little too hot to handle, she was quite flustered, but glanced at him again with serious and pretty black eyes: "You..."
Amadeus Yancey didn’t wait for her to finish, placed the remaining cup on the car, turned back to look at her, his eyebrows bold and lazy: "No choice, in order to get things straight in advance."

Nathalie Quinlan’s previously tense shoulders suddenly relaxed, rendered speechless.
Amadeus Yancey only said it usual, closed the car door for her, turned around to sit in the passenger seat, and casually ntioned to Alfred Garland who was reluctantly enduring their intimate mont: "Let’s go, return ho."
