Three days later, the selection results for the world software competition qualifications ca out.
Sothing unexpected happened.
Traditionally, students from Southern University’s computer science departnt were the representatives for the national competition. This year, however, the selected representative wasn’t from Southern University.
It was from neighboring Tsinghua University!
It was known that Tsinghua’s computer science departnt had always been outclassed by Southern University’s. The two schools were on entirely different levels in this field.
This ti, the committee’s decision to not choose Southern’s student and instead select one from Tsinghua was already surprising.
What was even more shocking ca next—the selected person wasn’t from Tsinghua’s computer science departnt!
The person was from the Chinese dicine departnt.
And a freshman!
As soon as the final results ca out, the news quickly spread across universities, especially Tsinghua and Southern University, whose students competed for this slot every year. This year, Tsinghua had a major upset, and Southern’s students were eager to find out who Nathalie Quinlan was.
In the boys’ dormitory, room 3306.
Stewin Hoffman was the first to hear the news and quickly told the others, "I swear, the person chosen this ti is Nathalie Quinlan."
"Nathalie Quinlan?" Another person lying on the upper bunk imdiately glanced at Zeus Tanzil, "You an Mr. Tanzil’s goddess was chosen?"
The basketball in Zeus Tanzil’s arms fell to the ground; he forgot to pick it up, standing there stunned.
Stewin Hoffman patted him on the shoulder, grinning as he congratulated him: "Mr. Tanzil, congrats, your goddess got selected. I thought it would be soone from Southern University again this year, but it turned out to be soone from our school."
It’s just a pity Nathalie Quinlan wasn’t from the computer science departnt.
There was a lot of comntary outside now, and quite a few conspiracy theories.
Stewin Hoffman, however, didn’t think much about it, simply saying, "I hope this year the country can make it to the group stage, instead of being stopped at the top 16 of the selection round."
Zeus Tanzil’s mind was buzzing so loudly he didn’t hear what said at all. Annoyed, he brushed away the hand on his shoulder and said in a low voice, "I’m going out to make a phone call."
He wanted to call his aunt to ask what this was all about.
Nathalie Quinlan being a representative for Lighten Chaser was fine.
But now she was selected for the world software competition.
He couldn’t quite accept the disparity at once. It was like soone you thought was right by your side suddenly beca soone you couldn’t reach even if you jumped. That sense of loss was more painful than death.
Zeus Tanzil strode quickly out of the dormitory.
Zayn Fisher, anwhile, walked in with a dark expression, threw the professional books he was holding onto the table, pulled out a chair, sat in front of his laptop, opened the computer, but didn’t move even while sitting there.
Stewin Hoffman had just gossiped with everyone about Nathalie Quinlan winning the competition spot.
Everyone in the dormitory who knew better didn’t go to provoke Zayn Fisher at this mont, instead, they tacitly found sothing to do, pretending to be busy.
Zayn Fisher sat dazed in front of the computer for ten minutes.
Finally, the phone he left on the table rang.
The dazed Zayn Fisher finally had a bit of reaction, his eyelashes fluttered, and he picked up the phone to look at it. It was a text ssage from an unfamiliar number.
The text was blunt, straightforwardly saying they suspected this selection result was shady, and asked Zayn Fisher if he wanted to cause trouble.
Zayn Fisher didn’t finish reading the ssage from the stranger but deleted it.
