"Do you have ti this evening?" Hendrik Zachmann asked again.
Despite Evron Barness being generous with his praise for Caryn Zachmann, when Hendrik ntioned inviting him to join a gathering of Caryn’s friends, his eyes showed hesitation; he wasn’t too keen to attend.
"Evening, huh..." Evron leaned back casually, one hand on his leg, tapping his fingers absentmindedly, just about to refuse: "I’m afraid I might not be free tonight..."

Hendrik interrupted him, disregarding face, looked at him and slightly pleaded, "Co with and take a look if you have ti, we’ll just play around then leave."
Evron’s words were stuck in his throat, making it hard to refuse, though deep down he wasn’t that willing to go.
He’d t Hendrik’s biological sister, Caryn, before. She wasn’t unattractive, and had quite a nice aura. However, there was an arrogance between her brows that suggested she thought herself superior. She believed she concealed it well and was polite to others, but Evron had a diocre impression of her and wasn’t inclined to interact with Caryn too much.
After all, the Barness Family wasn’t inferior to the Zachmann Family. There was no need for him to curry favor with Caryn.
Even if he heard Caryn had made it into Amadeus Yancey and their circle, knowing Sadam Vinson and Brian Bonette.
Evron had no interest in ingratiating himself with Caryn.

Hendrik was a bit relieved when he heard Evron was willing to attend Caryn’s friend’s gathering. Knowing well that Evron changed his mind only to give him face, he reluctantly said to Evron, "Thanks, Mr. Barness."
Evron chuckled and exchanged a few polite words with him.
Hendrik took the opportunity to stand up and said, "I’m going to the restroom."
"Go ahead." Evron shrugged, signaling indifferently for him to go as he pleased.
Hendrik got up and went to the restroom.
After leaving the coffee shop, he didn’t walk too far. He pulled out his phone once more, lowered his head, and sifted through WhatsApp for the bold avatar of the girl, clicking into it.
He sent her another ssage.
[Nathalie Quinlan, I saw the hot search. I heard you made it to the finals, congratulations on your achievent. Keep it up in the finals.]
After the WhatsApp ssage was sent out.
Hendrik pondered, then asked: [Caryn passed the initial trial at Master Cadmus’s laboratory today. She’s invited friends for a al, I’ll be there too. Are you coming? If so, I’ll co pick you up, or you can co on your own, either is fine.]
He sent the Serenity Clubhouse’s location address to the girl.
The girl’s avatar remained silent, showing no reaction. After he sent his ssage, it was like a stone sinking into the ocean, not a single person looked at it.
Hendrik’s mood worsened.
He had been trying to contact Nathalie in the past few days, but Nathalie’s attitude towards him was very cold. She wouldn’t pick up the phone or respond to ssages.
Deep down, Hendrik still wanted to nd relationships with his family, but he didn’t know how to begin.
