Audrick Zachmann had already turned around to leave, but then he saw his father still standing there, not moving at all. He couldn’t help but shout: "Dad?"

Leonardy Zachmann did not respond. He didn’t look at anyone, stubbornly gazing at the old man in the wheelchair, his voice low as he said, "Dad, are you excluding Caryn from the family register because of Nathalie?"

Mr. Zachmann lifted his head. During this ti, he had aged a lot, his temples completely white, the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes deeply engraved, yet he appeared very calm and peaceful. He rely glanced at Leonardy Zachmann, who was standing there, unwilling to leave, and said bluntly: "Yes."

"Caryn wasn’t involved in this matter!" Leonardy Zachmann’s voice was hoarse, his fists clenched tightly, turning white from the force.

Mr. Zachmann had no reaction, maintaining his composed deanor. He glanced at Caryn Zachmann, whose face was as white as paper, and then looked away, saying sowhat tiredly: "I know she wasn’t involved, but can you say she knew nothing about it?"

"..." Leonardy Zachmann’s throat was stuck, unable to respond imdiately.

Mr. Zachmann’s expression was indifferent as he continued: "You know clearly in your heart, so things don’t require her direct involvent. As long as she hints it, soone will do it for her. Can you say that just because she didn’t personally participate, she wasn’t involved?"

Of course not.

Leonardy Zachmann tightened his hand, his face ashen.

He knew Caryn Zachmann couldn’t be considered entirely innocent in this matter, but the punishnt they gave was too severe!

Mr. Zachmann didn’t look at him again, speaking with a very calm expression: "You should go back. I won’t easily change a decision I’ve made. There’s no need to discuss who’s right or wrong with anymore."

"..." Leonardy Zachmann lifted his head, emotions surging in his eyes, but his gaze eventually darkened.

He turned and left without a word, not even acknowledging Stanley Zachmann.

Bernard Ingram stood up hesitantly, looking unsure whether he should leave or stay.

Seeing her indecision, Mr. Zachmann lifted his hand: "They’ve all left, you should go too. I need to rest now."

Bernard Ingram hesitated for a mont, then followed suit: "Then I’ll take my leave first."

"Mm." Mr. Zachmann responded calmly with a nod.

Bernard Ingram gathered her family, said goodbye to Mr. Zachmann, and followed Leonardy Zachmann and the others out in a hurried manner.

The room was suddenly much emptier.

Only Stanley Zachmann and Mr. Yancey remained with a few others.

Stanley Zachmann was montarily at a loss, standing there, glancing at his father. His refined face showed a hint of hesitation before he said, "Then, Dad, I won’t disturb you. You should rest early."

"Wait a mont." Mr. Zachmann unexpectedly called out to him.

Stanley Zachmann imdiately stopped, respectfully asking him: "Dad, is there anything else?"

Mr. Zachmann looked at him, all proper and prim, and his temples throbbed slightly, the back of his head tense, throbbing.

Fortunately, he thought of Nathalie, his tightly knitted brows relaxing once more. Not looking at him, he turned to Giordano Yancey and the others in the room, saying: "My health hasn’t been good. Over the years, the Zachmann Family has relied on your support to not fall into decline... but you’ve all seen that ever since the granddaughter was found, my ho has been in constant turmoil, no longer united in heart. I don’t know how long this body of mine... can hold up."

"Dad, please don’t say that. You’ll be healthy and live a long life." Stanley Zachmann’s heart ached upon hearing this, interrupting his words.

Mr. Zachmann, however, smiled slightly, not caring much: "Everyone dies. Even if I lived to a hundred, there would be a day I’d go. I’m not afraid of death. I’ve long wanted to go and et your mother. It’s just that I can’t stop worrying about Nathalie. Before finding her, I was afraid I wouldn’t locate her by the ti I departed. Now that I’ve found her, I’m still unable to protect her."
