As soon as he finished speaking.
He saw the girl being helped onto the ambulance amidst the crowd.
Still in the familiar checkered shirt, black pants, and black duckbill cap, with a slender back that couldn’t suppress the air of unruly defiance all around her.
He was stunned for a mont, thinking he must have seen wrong, rubbed his eyes, and looked in the direction of the ambulance again.
This ti, he saw clearly.
Hendrik Zachmann, looking surprised, pointed in that direction and said to Leonardy Zachmann, "Dad, is that Nathalie over there?"
"You an Nathalie... how could Nathalie be..."
Leonardy Zachmann’s first reaction was to think it couldn’t be such a coincidence, but he instinctively looked in the direction his son was pointing and saw the girl on the ambulance.
He was stunned.
It really was Nathalie!
Leonardy Zachmann’s nerves tightened, realizing what was happening, his face turned sowhat grim, clearly anxious and concerned about Nathalie’s safety: "Is the person on the ambulance Nathalie?"
Hendrik, not having a deep affection for Nathalie, was mainly just surprised to see her there; otherwise, he felt little: "Seems like it."
"How could this happen, I’ll go have a look." Leonardy Zachmann imdiately unbuckled his seatbelt and opened the car door.
But just as he opened the car door, the ambulance door closed, and it drove away with a wailing sound.
Feeling troubled, Leonardy hurriedly took out his phone, and while calling Mr. Zachmann and the others to inform them, instructed Hendrik, "Check which hospital’s ambulance that was, and I’ll let your grandpa and uncle know, we’ll head over first."
"Alright."
Even though Hendrik didn’t have a deep relationship with Nathalie, she was, after all, his cousin by blood. Faced with such a situation, he couldn’t just stand by as if he were an outsider.
Once he ca to his senses, without Leonardy’s urging, he quickly called acquaintances in the traffic police to find out the hospital.
Hendrik soon found out through connections which hospital the ambulance belonged to.
Hendrik drove, quickly heading to the hospital with Leonardy.

anwhile, at the entrance of the Imperial Hotel, Alfred Garland was still waiting for Nathalie to co.
Close to midnight, most of the expected guests had arrived.
Only Nathalie hadn’t co yet.
And the ti had clearly exceeded the ten minutes Amadeus had ntioned earlier.
Alfred was getting restless, glanced at his wristwatch; it wasn’t ten minutes anymore; it had been at least twenty minutes since Amadeus called Ms. Quinlan.
He checked the ti again.
11:48.
Twelve more minutes until the young lady’s birthday banquet started.
Alfred, who could usually keep his calm, was also unable to remain still by now.
He pulled out his phone and called Nathalie.
"Ring..."
The sound rang out.
Alfred thought Nathalie would certainly answer the call.
Who would’ve thought, after a dozen rings, the call ended automatically.
"...Why isn’t Ms. Quinlan answering the phone?" Alfred found it strange and looked at his phone; it had full signal, so it couldn’t be due to a poor connection.
He tried again.
The sa situation occurred.
He called again, and even though it connected, no one answered.
After calling three tis without answer, Alfred finally felt uneasy. He couldn’t stay at the entrance to greet guests anymore and quickly headed toward the banquet hall.
Candice Yancey was chatting with a group of people; she was wearing a light purple ruffled shirt paired with a midi skirt today, looking elegant with a touch of mature woman’s charm.
Amadeus Yancey stood beside her, one hand in his pocket, exuding an air of noble indolence, his presence exceptionally prominent.
