Starting from noon, the calm surface of Beijing began to see various undercurrents surging.

Hendrik Zachmann leaned against the Range Rover. He wore a beige trench coat, had a tall stature, and a handso and charming appearance. He lowered his head while biting a cigarette, drawing the attention of many girls walking by.
He was used to it and paid no attention to the admiring glances directed his way.
With the cigarette in his mouth, he exhaled a smoke ring, showing little expression on his face, seeming sowhat bored as he stood there.
Soon, a nanny van screeched to a halt in front of him.
Soon after, a young man about his height hurriedly got out of the van. The man wore a duckbill cap pulled low, only revealing his chin. "Brother."
Audrick Zachmann rushed out of the car, imdiately finding Hendrik Zachmann, and after calling him, anxiously asked, "Why are you here? Where’s Dad?"
"Dad went inside." Hendrik Zachmann pinched out the cigarette and dropped the cigarette butt to the ground, his tone quite calm.
Audrick Zachmann hesitated for a mont, then quickly headed inside.
He had just taken a step when he noticed sothing wasn’t quite right and turned back, walking up to Hendrik Zachmann, asking strangely, "You’re not going in with ?"
God knows how nervous he was when he received the call from their dad saying Nathalie was in a car accident. He even stopped shooting the comrcial, rushed through seven or eight red lights to get here.
He was almost driven to anxiety, yet Hendrik Zachmann remained so indifferent?
Audrick Zachmann didn’t know what he thought of, but he furrowed his brows lightly.
Could it be that Hendrik still holds a grudge against Nathalie at this ti?
"You guys can go in; I’ll wait outside for Uncle and them to arrive." Hendrik Zachmann flicked the ash off his trench coat, not making it too obvious, but his tone was so indifferent that it was clear to anyone paying attention that he really didn’t care much about Nathalie Quinlan’s fate.
Audrick Zachmann: "..."
Emotions surged in his eyes, but considering that the hospital was a public place filled with people and given his status as a star making it inconvenient to show his true feelings, Audrick Zachmann could only take a deep breath, temporarily suppressing the emotions in his heart, saying: "What about Mom? Aren’t Mom and Caryn coming?"
He already had the answer in his heart.
Hendrik Zachmann, however, did not hide it, openly stating: "They’re handling withdrawal procedures at the school and won’t be coming over."
"Ha." Audrick Zachmann let out a cold laugh, his brows enveloped with indifference, seemingly running out of words. He no longer wasted words on Hendrik and said coldly, "Alright then, I’ll head in first."
"Mhm."
Hendrik Zachmann knew what he wanted to say, but the gap between the families was too deep to warrant discussion. As for the fact that Caryn didn’t want to see Nathalie, he found no fault in it; it was human nature, that’s all.
Audrick Zachmann, on the verge of heading inside, asked him again before leaving: "Brother, are you sure you won’t co in with to check on Nathalie?"
Hendrik Zachmann raised an eyebrow, seemingly not understanding why Audrick asked him again. His brows furrowed briefly as he thought for a second, but still maintained a stern face, unwavering in his decision: "I’m not going; you guys head in. It’s enough with you guys there."
Seeing that his brother was unmovable, Audrick shook his head, unwilling to continue the conversation, and rushed into the ergency room.

Hendrik Zachmann watched him go in, right as his phone began to ring.
He looked down and saw it was a call from Evron Barness.
