Ten minutes later.
Nathalie Quinlan, her breath quickened, pushed soone away, her gaze evasive yet heated, and mumbled, "I’m going to take a shower."
Her steps were fast and disordered.
Amadeus Yancey let go as she pushed him away, watching her retreating figure toward the bathroom. His tall stature slid casually to the side, his eyes lowered, and his sexy Adam’s apple bobbed as he let out a low chuckle.
His gaze fixed firmly in the direction of the bathroom, his voice hoarse yet charming, "Nathalie, do you need my help?"
The response to him was the sound of a cold, unfeeling door slam.
Only a ’bang’ sound was heard.
The bathroom door shut in front of him.
Shortly after, the sound of running water echoed from the bathroom.
Amadeus Yancey curved his thin lips, his eyes filled with fragnts of tenderness, particularly when he lowered his head, the warm orange light in the room casting softly on his face, making the intoxicating gentleness more captivating...
He just laughed a little and went back, taking the thermal container Nathalie brought back to heat in the microwave.
At that mont.
A call from Sadam Vinson and the others ca in as well.
Amadeus Yancey first poured the soup from the thermal container into a porcelain bowl, then opened the microwave, placed the bowl inside, and pressed the heat button.
After doing all this, his long legs leaned against the marble counter, he casually took out his phone from his pocket with one hand and answered Sadam Vinson’s call.
After he hung up the call.
Sadam Vinson created a small group.
Govert Griffin, Nadya Tucker, and others were all added to the group by him.
[Sadam Vinson: Has anyone here been in a romantic relationship and has experience? Speak up.]
[Sadam Vinson: I just want to know one thing, does being in love an you won’t go hungry?]
[Govert Griffin: ?]
[Nadya Tucker: ?]
Brian Bonette was sitting right across from him, having just finished eating and setting the chopsticks aside, leisurely holding a cup of tea. He blew on the tea froth and took a sip.
He glanced sideways and saw Sadam Vinson had added him to the small group too.
He put down the tea cup in his hand, lifted his eyelids, and said with a sneer, "What’s gotten into you now?"
"I called Amadeus down for dinner, and he wouldn’t co down." Sadam Vinson had a face seeking confirmation, quite cheeky: "I’m just curious, isn’t he hungry?"
Brian Bonette thought he was going to say sothing constructive, but it turned out to be just this, so he rcilessly teased, "Boring!"
Sadam Vinson was just about to retort back.
In the small group ca a ’ding’ notification sound.
His attention returned to the phone, and he took a closer look.
[Nadya Tucker: That depends on who you’re in love with.]
[Nadya Tucker: With soone like Amadeus and Ms. Quinlan, I think... I could go without eating for three days and still manage. Just looking at their faces, I’m satisfied.]
[Sadam Vinson: ...]
He had just sent out a line of ellipses.
Nadya Tucker’s new ssage arrived again.
[Nadya Tucker: Mr. Vinson, don’t be jealous anymore. If you’re really envious, go find soone yourself? Otherwise, always envying their relationship is not a solution.]
"Damn!" Sadam Vinson looked at the ssages in the small group. He was completely taken aback, his eyes widened in disbelief, and he looked at the three across from him: "She said I’m jealous? Why should I be jealous? Which eye of hers saw being envious of others’ relationships."
Alfred Garland saw his agitated response and expressionlessly added a jab: "Mr. Vinson, Nadya is not wrong. If you’re envious of Ms. Quinlan and them being in a relationship, why not find one for yourself."
Sadam Vinson: ...
Alfred Garland continued with a straight face, adding another jab: "Mr. Vinson, just stop denying it. You created the small group and all that, it shows you’re quite envious."
