Rivendell.

The club is nestled in a quiet corner of Penny Parkway, and the French sycamores add an elegant touch to the environnt inside.

Walking through a winding corridor, Caryn is inside one of the private rooms.

Besides Caryn, there are many others in the room.

Sherrina Yacoub and Nadya Tucker are both present.

However, just like last ti, Nadya was dragged here by friends, and she found a corner to play by herself, barely speaking to Caryn.

So people are playing cards, others singing, and so are drinking heavily, having a lively ti.

Caryn, however, sits in a corner by herself, engrossed in her phone.

Her fair face is almost expressionless, showing no sign that she’s the main character today.

After playing a round of dice, Sherrina drops her dice and walks to her side, sitting down with a smile and asking, "Caryn, why aren’t you playing with us?"

Caryn turns off the light on her phone screen, lifts her head, her eyelids drooping slightly, and replies softly, "I don’t know how to play dice."

Sherrina naturally notices her subtle action of putting down her phone, raises an eyebrow, smiles, and says, "Even if you don’t play dice, there are other things to do! You can sing, play pool."

"Let’s skip today." Caryn’s tone is ambiguous, not denying it, but she’s clearly uninterested: "I just don’t want to play today."

Sherrina gives a knowing smile, probing further with glee, "I think it’s because you don’t feel like playing! Did you see Nathalie Quinlan’s news online?"

At the ntion of ’Nathalie Quinlan,’ Caryn’s beautiful eyes darken, her expression visibly souring; she’s clearly reluctant to bring up the na.

Seeing her silence as confirmation, Sherrina laughs, locking arms with her, and says in a rather disdainful tone, "Caryn, why bother with her? So people’s vision is just that limited; they think they’ve seen the world by looking at a sky the size of a palm... So she won a first in an international competition? Can she compare to you entering the Pharmaceutical Association?"

"The Pharmaceutical Association is a coveted place; many want in but can’t get in."

"Even dostic experts like Mr. Avalon might not have the qualifications to enter the Pharmaceutical Association. You’ve made it in, what can Nathalie compete with?"

Caryn’s countenance softens slightly, she raises a corner of her mouth, smiling modestly, "I just got lucky to get into the Pharmaceutical Association."

Sherrina, however, gives her full credit: "That’s not true, you got in because of your talent, and after all, it’s you, not Nathalie, who entered the Pharmaceutical Association."

Caryn’s mood lifts sowhat, she presses her lips, saying nothing, yet her serene satisfaction clearly acknowledges Sherrina’s words.

Sherrina releases her arm, pats her shoulder, and says with heartfelt sincerity, "So, don’t compare yourself to Nathalie Quinlan; there’s no comparison between you two."

"I’m not comparing with her; I genuinely don’t want to play dice, which is why I’m not joining you, not because the Twitter news put in a bad mood."

Caryn’s words are composed and gracious, yet sohow shift the bla onto Sherrina, leaving her speechless.

But Caryn doesn’t concern herself with her, glances at her phone again, gets up, and tells her, "I’m going to the restroom."

"Hmm, go ahead."

Sherrina puts away her slight annoyance, nods, watching Caryn leave the room, feeling extrely unconcerned inside.
