Nathalie returned after having lunch with Khendy and the others.
The Rhine apartnt was quite quiet today.
Amadeus Yancey wasn’t ho, and neither was Alfred Garland.
With the two of them not around, Sadam Vinson and the others didn’t co over either. No one was around to chatter at her ears, leaving Nathalie in peace.
She opened the fridge door, took out a bottle of mineral water, and went upstairs to the second floor.
The second-floor room was bright, with sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling window, casting a golden glow on the floor.
After returning to her room, Nathalie took a shower, changed into so refreshing ho clothes, pulled out the chair at her desk, dangled one leg, sat cross-legged on the chair, and opened her laptop.
The computer booted up instantly.
She wasn’t in a hurry.
She unscrewed the water bottle next to her desk, loosened the cap and placed it on the bottle, then slowly logged into Line.
She rarely logged onto Line, usually keeping it running on her phone.
Line notifications pop up when soone sends a new ssage.
About three minutes after logging in, a verification ssage indeed flashed across the screen.
Nathalie took a sip of water, set it aside, and operated the mouse with one hand to click on the small speaker icon in the corner of her computer.
In the verification ssage column, the other party had neatly filled out the verification text - [Hello, Q God.]
"Tsk!"
Nathalie’s slender fingers clicked the mouse twice, accepting the other’s friend request, her bright eyes lazily narrowing under her smooth forehead.
[Hello, Q God. I am a student introduced by Mr. Dax to add you. My na is Robert Radcliff.]
Nathalie had heard this na before.
Robert, a renowned chief at the Pharmaceutical Association, was Mr. Dax’s top protégé.
The other party’s position in the Pharmaceutical Association was quite high, certainly not comparable to soone like Caryn Zachmann, who was just a new mber.
However, she had long left the Pharmaceutical Association and was no longer interested in these matters.
Nathalie’s dark lashes lowered, covering her bright eyes, while her translucent fingertips tapped swiftly on the keyboard.
[Do you have sothing to ask ?]
After sending the ssage, there was no imdiate reply from the other side, likely because they were busy with sothing and couldn’t check their phone right away.
She wasn’t concerned, and after playing a few casual gas on the computer, a Line ssage popped up.
It wasn’t from Robert Radcliff.
It was from Stephanie Tanzil, who hadn’t appeared in a long ti.
Nathalie closed the desktop ga, leaned back in her chair, her arm suspended mid-air, and opened the ssage from Stephanie Tanzil.
"Nathalie, do you still rember the thing you promised ?"
Nathalie blanked out for several seconds.
Another ssage from Stephanie Tanzil appeared.
"You promised to help shoot a music video, the director is already here, do you have ti tomorrow?"
Ah, that music video.
Only then did Nathalie rember the promise, feeling a bit of a headache.
Tomorrow?
She had promised Khendy to see him off at the airport tomorrow.
Their schedules were overlapping.
Nathalie was pondering how to balance everything when Robert Radcliff’s ssage ca through.
Line beeped twice.
Nathalie propped herself up and checked his ssage first.
Opening it -
[Yes, I found your notes in the library. There are a few points I don’t quite understand. Q God, are you available tomorrow? The principal also has sothing he wants to hand over to you.]
Tomorrow again!
Nathalie wondered if they had secretly coordinated to schedule everything for tomorrow.
She couldn’t be two places at once; tomorrow was bound to be impossible to attend all commitnts.
Stephanie Tanzil, thinking Nathalie was offline, sent over an emoji, featuring a chipmunk with "Are you there?" flickering above its head.
