On the other side, Amadeus Yancey watched as the girl’s silhouette disappeared, and the door to his room slamd shut. His thin lips curved into a sowhat amused smile.
At that mont, his phone on the table rang.
Amadeus Yancey noticed the bottle of mineral water that Nathalie Quinlan had left on the tea table, with only a sip taken. His gaze focused as he bent down to pick up his phone from the sofa and looked down.
[Sadam Vinson: Amadeus, are you and Nathalie finished? We’re going out to eat. Govert Griffin has a friend who opened a restaurant that’s supposed to be pretty good. Wanna join us?]
Amadeus Yancey narrowed his gaze slightly, leaned back on the sofa, with his long legs crossed, and tapped on his phone with his fair hand.

[Sadam Vinson: Haven’t finished showering yet?]
[Sadam Vinson: Nathalie hasn’t replied to my ssage either.]
Amadeus Yancey placed his hand on the phone, hooking his lips into a rather lazy expression, not aning to reply imdiately. He browsed other ssages and then sent a photo of the bottle on the tea table to the girl with the black profile picture.
Five minutes later, his phone vibrated again.
It was another ssage from Sadam Vinson.
Nathalie Quinlan’s profile picture remained completely silent, as if she hadn’t seen his ssage, with no movent.
This pretending to play dead attitude is... quite appealing.
Amadeus Yancey’s smile widened at the corners of his mouth, propped his arm, and opened Sadam Vinson’s WhatsApp again with one hand.
