Felice Owen now seed as if an invisible sledgehamr had struck her to the depths, leaving her no longer able to maintain her arrogance.
She shakily searched through her phone book for the phone number of her cousin.
But Felice was well aware that what she was doing had no effect anymore. Back then, even with her cousin backed by a prestigious family from McKinney, she was forced to retire from the entertainnt circle and go abroad. Now that her popularity and status aren’t even as high as her cousin’s back then, how could it be any different for her?

Nathalie Quinlan exited the television station in McKinney, turned a corner, and caught a car, planning to go to the library.

Nathalie first opened WhatsApp to check.

Nathalie lowered her eyelashes, reached out, and opened Govert’s WhatsApp ssage.
Govert was very sincere in apologizing to her on WhatsApp, saying he had just learned about Felice Owen’s matter and imdiately ntioned how they were dealing with Felice.
Lastly, Govert even asked in WhatsApp if she wanted Felice to apologize to her in person.
Nathalie initially furrowed her brows tightly, but by the end, she raised her eyebrows and dug out soone’s phone number to call.
The phone was barely connected before the person on the other end picked up.

The man’s voice was deep and magnetic.
Nathalie couldn’t help but scratch at her ear, the deep voice making her heart a bit restless, and she said to him, "Was it you who dealt with Felice Owen?"
"Hmm? What about Felice Owen?" The man’s voice was lazy, a hint of amusent in his tone.
Nathalie paused, holding her phone, feeling that the car was too stuffy.
She reached out to open the car window, letting the wind from outside blow in. Adjusting her duckbill cap, she said unhurriedly, "Did you go to Govert Griffin?"
"Govert told you?" Amadeus Yancey wasn’t surprised, and imdiately added, "I just told him to manage his company’s artists properly, not letting any random cats or dogs out. Being an artist requires professionalism, and if she has no boundaries, staying in the entertainnt circle would just harm minors."
"I know." Nathalie herself didn’t have a good impression of Felice Owen, and she also intended to give Felice a lesson, especially regarding the matter of destroying cultural relics, where Felice had gone too far.
However, she hadn’t expected that Amadeus, far away in Beijing, would be aware of these things.
She pursed her lips, changed the subject, and raised her eyes to gaze at the swiftly passing scenery outside the car window: "By the way, I’ve left the TV station, planning to check out the library. I’ll head back once I’m done here; you don’t need to co over specially."
Nathalie thought for a mont, softly furrowed her brow, and added, "If everything goes smoothly, it shouldn’t take too long. Well, about half a day."
"I’ll see if I’ll head back tonight. Even if I don’t return tonight, I’ll be back in Beijing the next day."
There’s nothing keeping her in McKinney anymore.
The Quinlan family is no longer of any attachnt, and everything between them is settled.
