The next day, Nathalie Quinlan got up in the morning and went to where Aunt Cagwin usually set up her stall.
As soon as she turned the corner onto that street, she saw a crowd gathered at the entrance of where Aunt Cagwin set up her stall.
The crowd was bustling with activity.
As if watching so kind of commotion.
Nathalie furrowed her brow, pulled the hood of her sweater down, took off her headphones, and walked forward.
"Excuse , please let through."
She squeezed into the crowd and finally understood why so many people were gathered to watch on the roadside.
Only to see, not far from Aunt Cagwin’s stall, a luxury car was parked. The black Bugatti Veyron was definitely a striking presence in a small place like McKinney, and many people were likely attracted by the luxury car parked by the roadside and stopped to watch.
In the distance, soone was pulling and tugging at Aunt Cagwin, seemingly trying to force a bag into her hands.
"Mrs. Fisher, your gift is too precious, I really can’t accept it."
"This is just a little token of eting, just a small gesture from , please accept it." A well-dressed high-society woman kept trying to push the items in her hands into Aunt Cagwin’s hands.
Aunt Cagwin’s sallow face was flushed red, very uneasy and distressed, she kept clenching her fists and refused to accept: "Please take it back, I really can’t accept it."
She had just set up her stall in the morning when Zayn Fisher brought his mother over.
Aunt Cagwin had thought they were just parking nearby, probably having so business nearby.
Who knew, the two of them were carrying gifts towards her, and without saying a word, they started pushing a pile of gifts into her hands.
How could she possibly accept these things for no reason?
Moreover, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Although she was poor, she was not soone who didn’t understand reason.
The Fisher Family suddenly approaching her with such an array of gifts was most likely not out of kindness.
She was just an ordinary person and didn’t know any big figures. Surely they were finding her to reach out to soone else.
She only knew Nathalie.
And her son, Freddy Cagwin.
Freddy did well in his college entrance exam this year and got into a prestigious university, but the Fisher Family was a Great Family in McKinney. A family like theirs wouldn’t run to her with gifts just because Freddy got into a prestigious university.
So Aunt Cagwin wasn’t foolish, she had so idea that the Fisher Family people were after Nathalie.
She wasn’t accustod to such a commotion, and with so many people watching, she was very tense and uneasy, but she still insisted on not accepting what Mrs. Fisher was forcing: "I really don’t want them, please take them back, I need to set up my stall."
Mrs. Fisher had never t soone so resolute, she was at a loss on how to give the items to Aunt Cagwin.
Suddenly, Aunt Cagwin caught a glimpse of the girl coming in, her eyes lit up, she imdiately released her grip, ignored the Fisher Family, and walked towards Nathalie Quinlan.
"Nathalie, you’re here? I..."
She wasn’t sure how to explain the situation to Nathalie because she herself didn’t understand why the Fisher Family was visiting this ti around.
She was quite worried about Nathalie, her peripheral vision glanced towards the Fisher Family direction, her simple face looked a bit embarrassed and clueless, and she whispered to the girl: "Let’s go back first, I’m not setting up my stall today, let’s go ho, your Uncle Cagwin is waiting for us at ho. I’ll buy so groceries, if you’re not in a hurry, let’s have lunch together before you leave?"
Nathalie originally wanted to see her too, when she spoke to her, the sharpness in her eyes wearing off, making her look gentle and easy to talk to: "Sure, I’m not in a hurry, let’s have lunch together."
